I think you have a valid point. Unlike other consoles, Steam has a defacto monopoly on games played within it's environment...which is just about every PC game in existence. (Even SD is now under their thumb) Steam will no doubt "encourage" developers to make games that work best with it's new console. So, PC games will start to look like console games, and the inevitable dumbing down of games will occur. It will not spell the end of PC gaming, but PC games will morph

I agree on both points.
Speaking of the tinkerer... Unless I missed something, he can only cast one spell in battle, two if you can find the ingredients for the necklace that's at the beginning of the spell tree. IMO, this puts you at a great disadvantage. Yes, I know his crafting skill is supposed to make up for/balance his lack of spell casting, but nothing that can be crafted matches the potential power of being able to cast multiple spells during the final battle. Since this is a single player game, why would it matter if someone cheated anyway? What's the point of including such an end game comment?
The stamps now provide more fertility locations? !?... :) A Freudian slip perhaps? :)
I've built both facilities, and my food production remains at 4. It's a level 4 city. so I should have at least 12 additional grains. It seems some vital algorithm broke in B5 if both food and logistics aren't working properly.
I'm experiencing the same logistics issues.
Speaking of quest..Last night I got the "bitter potion" quest. Clearly, one of the quest writers doesn't appreciate craft beer. [e digicons]>:([/e] [e digicons];)[/e]

If the minors are allowed to grow and expand, it would change a big dynamic of the game. Now, not only are you racing against the doomsday counter, you effectively have to have a conquest victory just to prevent the minors from defeating the SK before you do. Sort of like LH where you have to defeat the other factions to prevent them from building the towers and casting the spell of making. Besides, there is very little settleable land anyway SK is a different ki
It would be helpful...except there is no gildar in SK...just logistics. Doesn't that thrall you? :)
Another thought. Isnt the summer the worst time for game sales? By releasing it in July you could be setting it up for failure. Aren't the numbers soft as it is for SK?
it's fine with me. Although I don't think releasing them close together would canabalize sales. Each is a different game with a different audience.
Just curious... How did the golden belt, which obviously doesn't fit into the SK universe, get into the game? Were items from LH just blindly ported from LH without taking the time to consider if they fit into SK?
So somewhere along the line, I picked up a gold belt that improves weight capacity by 20% But unless I'm missing something, weight don't matter in SK. So, I suggest that the item should either be removed, or be given a different magical effect. https://www.dropbox.com/s/zat2zx2qepcnnr4/Golden%20Belt.png?dl=0
Thanks for posting that. The marketing copy I saw only mentioned PvP. Personally, I'm not a big fan of linear campaigns. 25 is a lot, but once you play them, that's it. But man, the idea of building up a bad ass tank is cool.
Story Campaign 25 single-player campaign missions Uncover t
The blue against the red title bar as seen in the screenshot is difficult for me to read, and generally unpleasant to the eye (IMO). Please consider changing the color. https://www.dropbox.com/s/rbzh9gmr0f6pvrx/Screenshot%202015-03-04%2010.59.37.png?dl=0
Yea, the pics look great. Any changelog for B5?
In SK, the best ones to use are those that can deliver the most damage to monsters without the sovereign's assistance (A vital trait in the early game). Good examples would be Tandis and the dwarf hero of the tinkerer. Frankly I think all except the cleric sovereign's hero are good to start with.
I seem to recall one of the minor heroes in LH had noticeable cleavage.
But you're probably getting a LOT of "casual buyers" in the beta process with your current 50% off GalCiv 3....
Yea that's right. I bet there are A Lot of impulse purchasers. - which is how a lot of developers probably make a good chunk of their sales. I imagine it's the driving force behind Steam. Hmm, the word impulse sounds familiar, like an echo from the past. [e di
Are the unannounced games going to be RTS or TBS?
"Lingerie is not armor" Some people know how to suck the fun out of everything. :)
So, I'm well into the game and I notice that the "choose a spell" indicate hasn't popped up in a while. The box at the top right that indicates turns until you can choose another spell just shows this "--", and when I scroll over it the pop up says "you have not yet picked a spell to research". This is strange. Did I somehow miss a turn when I should have chosen a spell and lost the ability to ever choose another one? I realize that there i
I don't know if this helps, but when I have a location I want to remember, I send a scout there and set him on "guard". Then when I'm ready to go to the location, I just click the units icon to bring me there.
