newbie question.. is there any way to see your culture influance? because i looked when i had like 50% of the map covered by my area of control.. and it showed like 25% influance?
i agree.. the "lore" about how the stargates were slower MAKES NO SENSE!!!!!! the idea of a gate system in the SG1 universe (SHUT UP AND DO NOT EVEN MOAN) says that gates are instant travel.. just limited in size and distance.. now if these people have only known about the gates as a SG1 SUPER GATE then yes.. they would be huge and expensive to build.. but i think it should be possable... the idea here suggest a huge op

cheaper no.. though you could save up just a bit more and get it from stardock directly i was trying to be a good chap and help get you one(since it looked like you would not get your money).. but it looks like you will be ok... though..

its always had this problem.. even though i can see the icons ont he map and they are within range.. if they are on the other side it wont go to it sometimes

supply ship is a bad idea using the base.. good idea.. super slow bad idea.. (should be able to go up to say 9-20 parsecs a month with hyperwarp drive (i can get my medium ships going about that speed easiliy) this would make the lack of a terror star better? i would say it would take about 7 constructors to make for diffrent parts and more for more speed and better armor...
i thought that since starforce had shown how easy it was to download the full game via bittorrent, that the community should help with sharing the DEMO via the same method.. this might give us the chance to show how easy this is to do.. I created the demo torrent and setup a simple php tracker.. if you get utorrent to download it should keep the load on the tracker less and your friends can download it all <img src="smiles/Smile.gif" border=
i like the idea of a pure carrier .. but it would require the largest ships only.. and have a limit.. and the ships would be limited in size.. so a huge ship could carry up to 4 tiny ships 2 small and 1 medium? or something simalar where the larger you go with the addon the smaller ammounts you can carry.. this way you can make a huge firepower and slow.. but have it move fast..

I feel sorry you guys can't see a option to help others.. Did you know each race has a diffrent Advisor robot? Did you know ships you designed in a previous game, do not appear intill the techs you had when you built it are researched.
I think we need a "DID YOU KNOW" thread.. to give advice and other unique things as to the game.. (from "Well DUH" to "Wow, i did not know it could do THAT" Did you know that you can play as other races. Did you know that you can design your ships to combat your enemies.
snake.. there is no copy protection for the game.. since you can buy it and NEVER GET A CD!!! would be hard to do when you don't have a CD... Also the server seems buggy and disconnects often ... too bad we can't get it on another stable network?
