You can add engine to the freighter to get it to a planet quicker but once the route is estabilished and it becomes a mini-freighter it will only move 1 space per turn. Using more than one module per ship does not increase the amount of income per trade. You can't design one b/c once you have put the trade module on a ship it disappears from the modules tab.

Not sure if a person *should* but I have never really looked at it before and I see it as a way to potentially improve my game. I am thinking of tracking the score quarterly (it appears they change weekly) so I can compare which strats generate higher points.
In the Civilization Manager. Time Line tab. Military button. Has any one been able to get higher than 200249 on the military history? I have never really used this screen before until this game and I have been stuck at this number for quite some time despite continuing to add to my fleets so it seems like this is some sort of maximum. Economy is at 321496 and Research is at 290275 and are still climbing as NLC and SM builds are completed.
Yes it will as long as you take over more of the galactic map in doing so. I know that works. As far as if you built them where you already have influence, not sure, never tried.
Terrans have incredibly high diplomacy. Check your stats vs theres. This can slow down the process.
If there is a shield near the planet that means there is a ship there.
First time I have ever heard of this. Not sure what to tell you. Hopefully Kryo will be along shortly to help you out.
Stock Markets. Decent Population. Trade. Econ Resources. Econ Starbases w/ trade routes. Higher gov't. More planets. Reduce Industrial Capacity. Increase taxes Only ways I know to have good income.
Trees are nice. For putting in the fire place.
Using economic star bases along trade routes will increase the money you get for them. Building starbases around planets and adding production enhancers will help you spend money.
I agree with DethAdder. You should also understand somethign about the weapons themselves. Missles do more damage but cost more. Mass Drivers are cheaper but do less damage. Beam is about middle of the road. If you have beat normal and challenging you probably know this already but just in case you don't, try to atk with weapons that the AI is not defending against and defend against what they are attacking with. If you don't want to spend a bunch of time upgrading back and forth b
Duty today. Will give me some time to wrap up the latest game.
Another slider to check is the Industrial Capacity. If it is a zero you will not get production. Make sure you are playing on the latest patch as well. IIRC there were some issues with this 1.2 and prior.
No easy way. I like the sound of Macmatt's mod but if you play the meta you probably will not be able to use it. I haven't played DA yet but I think the issue is better addressed there.
The only real defense in this game is a good offense. Amen.
Evolved. Diplomacy is key for begining players. Keep the AI at 'cool' or better. You want them to let you decide when the right time for war is. There is plenty of good strat stuff in the strat thread. have a read when you have a bit of time to spare to browse through it. You will find that you game will get better.
I also have a question for FC: do you think the level of tech superiority is a leader among the "too many variables" Mumble notes, and if so, why (how)? I think it's wrong to say any particular type or style of ship is bet
1 No. 2 Not that I have seen. 3 not in my opinion. I play Neutral but from what I have seen Evil appears to score more.
bc for bc I'll take mediums any day.
I don't mean to sound rude Mumble but since there were jobs available in your area why did you not hire on until somethig in your field came along? We would be alot better of if the IRS was scraped infavor of a tierd consumer tax.
but I would *never* question the dedication, loyalty and professionalism of our military. One of the reason we are friends <TD class="mb-Bod
The SBs add a % to your over all ability according to the type of mine. The first SB give 5% and you can add up to 6 more to give you a total of 39% total added to an ability. i f oyu look inthe stats and graph screen under abilities you will see what percentages you currently have.
Major yes. Minor never. In GCII anyway.
I think the AI does not know how to fight a war. I don't know a thing about writing code but I would think it would be almost impossible to write this code stuff so that it can fight a war effectively. There are too many varibles. So the AI has to get 'something' in order to make it a challange for us masters of the mouse. I love my long drawn out gigantic abundant suicidals because it gives the AI the best advantage to counter my Torian Horde. Along these lines... The chan
I figure if the AI has the ability to do something then if a person does it it is not cheese. If they can't and the person does then it is.
