I like Paradox in general, but they never did and probably never can fix CK properly. Here's to hoping CK2 turns out better.

I agree they aren't perfect but they do pretty well for a small company I think.

HOI3 certainly was a disaster though.

HoI3 + Sempre Fi is actually a pretty good game.  I originally got HoI3 on release, played it a few weeks then dumped it (mostly due to the massive supply bugs).  When Sempre Fi came out it was gifted to me by a friend so I tried the game again, and it was pretty good! 

CK is wonderful!

Is it fun, yes. Has it ever been patched to acceptable levels, no. The last patch never even passed beta status.

Agreed. Semper Fi really spruced up the game. Some critics say that that's how the original game should have been. Whatever the case, I'm happy with it now but at the time of HOI IIIs release, it was effectively a disaster.

Funny, if Civ5 had HoI3SF's combat mechanics and combat AI, it'd be a pretty decent game.  It'd still have problems, but at least it'd be a fight to win.

I'll say this for Civilization fanboys; at least they actually named one of their biggest sites 'Civilization Fanatics'. There's a certain honesty to it. As a result you don't have to be surprised when you find yourself looking at a horde of unreasonable fanatics, you knew what you were getting into.

Why are there no Starcraft fanboys on this list?

And yet, I keep thinking that C&C4 is so bad and I paid so much more for it, later to find out that the entire team had been fired before the release...

This is quite an eye-opener! I've come across some of these names mentioned at the 2K forums and CivFanatics, but never really thought much about it.

I just usually put down the nonsense they write to ignorance and immaturity, but maybe they are a bit mentally unhinged! 

I would guess you been on Team liquid forums (most popular Starcraft site outside of Korea, even more then official ones), people over there are fanatical. Sc2 won couple of game of the year awards where fans vote because someone would come to team liquid and organize people to go and vote

Also mods on TL are so crazy that you are almost not allowed to say anything negative about Starcraft 2, or warnings or bans start flying. And if you even try to mention their players in a negative tone that is a ban as soon as mods see it.

So-called "Fanboys" are just people who like a product well enough that they feel defensive about it?  It might not be a rational response, but they aren't hurting anybody.  Just live and let live? 

I've seen threads at CivFan in the Civ4 forums where somebody posted a negative observation or perceived game bug and the guy was spammed with abuse of like "what's wrong with you, retard" instead of posts dealing with what were real observations. Your fanbois serve no useful purpose other than advertising and censoring others who have valid complaints about a product. Take your defense of these annoying terds and shove it where the moon don't shine.

Really? is there another Elemental game around that I have not heard of?

I personally did not care much for CIV3 I perfered Call to Power. However when CIV4 came out I have to say that it was not a bad game. And I do like that there were more than just barbarians running around trying to kill you. When the FFH mod came out CIV4 really shined.

But IMO CIV5 is the funnest CIV game to date. Yes it does have issues and I would never go to thier forums to lest these issues unless I just wanted to fight and get banned (which I have done)

Diablo fanboys are pretty bad too.

Some of those jerks were trashing Torchlight for no other reason than they are bored waiting for Diablo III. Lol.

Torchlight II is gonna rock.
