Anyone else getting excited about Elemental's release date creeping up?

I've been in the beta since the launch, but have been a complete bum in submitting feedback, etc.  Thanks to all of you that are taking the time to provide feedback to the devs!  Anyway, I make a habit of at least playing through each release and I've got to tell you, I am getting pretty excited as I see the game shape up.  Granted, this last version seems pretty unstable on my setup, but its really starting to feel like what will be an excellent game.  And its great to be able to see where they were and where they are at now.  I know they are busting their butts to stay on schedule and make this the best possible game (note the 2AM + release of beta 3b on Sat morning, for instance).

Anyway, dev's - thanks for all your hard work and the possible long hours ahead before going gold.

Thanks to the beta community as well for all the feedback you've been cranking out to give the devs new or better ideas to make this game great!

Really looking forward to the next beta release and seeing how much further you've come in like a week or less.  Great job!

Brad - I hope nothing but commercial success for Elemental and whatever great game you guys come up with next!

I am excited to see what the launch product will be like.

I am a little anxious, because the game as of beta 3b at least is definitely not release ready, but I have faith that they have enough that they aren't showing us. I don't think they will release a product they aren't proud of. To me any company that puts emphasis on quality and customer service is good in my book.

I have faith.

Well, apparently there will be at least one more beta (3C) before the modding beta (which will reportedly be a similar version to release).  So hopefully that will be enough for the beta testers to help iron out the majority of the gameplay problems and instability before the release.

Best regards,
Steven.

Personally it looks like its shapeing up wonderfully.

Not really feeling that excited about the release since I'm able to play the game right now. :) Release just means one (huge) update to the game I already have.

i suppose so, but I'm excited nonetheless.  Really looking forward to seeing the level of support with this game as well.  I'm pretty sure we can count on sd for quite a few updates, bugfixes, et all.  Anyway, just another month or so.  Really looking forward to the modding beta next!

Getting excited and nervous. Anxious? Is that a word? Yeah. I'm anxious.

I feel like I'm watching my little boy go up to bat for the first time and I'm nervous that I didn't teach him how to hold the bat properly. I've had the beta since late last year. I want this baby to be a star.

I am not excited.

Main reason? It comes out when I'm getting ready to go back to school. So it'll come out during the days when I am prepping for college. And that means it'll be sitting on my impulse, calling to me, while I pack mundane stuff.

BUT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, my laptop will have Elemental loaded on it.

Looking forward to it as well, thou its quiet hard to find some information on the real deal of the game. Those areas where I have searched for information on the game, as typically been updates, which means its hard to find the information from previous threads etc.

But neitherless, I am looking real forward to trying it, as I haven't been part of any beta's and won't be before the game has its official launch.

Lol, that's exactly how I feel. I want this game to pull me away from Civ 5 but... I don't know if that's gonna happen.

I have played it to death and I am still exited about the final version. Can't wait to play the release and play the campaign.

Was there one more round of beta coming to test multiplayer?

I'm beyond excited.

I *so* can not wait for this game to be released.

Maybe I'll get excited if the game ever goes on sale. I'll wait.

I think the game would be better released during September.

I think this game would be better released between StarCraft II and Civilization V, like it is.

I think from here to October there's absolutely nothing else interesting coming out.  This may be the absolute best time to release it.

Civ 5 is uninteresting for you? :)

I've been following Elemental's progress since around late Beta 2 (though I never participated in the actual Betas). Just recently pre-ordered the game as well along with joining the army. Now I'm sitting here on needles, nearly bouncing up and down, barely able to keep myself from scaling the walls of my room and hanging from the lamp as I wait for the creeping approach of E-Day. Why must time taunt me so? D:

I'm really excited as well, but I've decided to hunker down with Far Cry 2 (which I'm liking a lot more than I expected) and Sins of a Solar Empire, with GTA4 in reserve. So even though I really want to get my hands on it, I've occupied myself with other games for the moment.

Though I am a bit nervous- I know Stardock has a serious commitment to improving their games, but this will be the first one I've ever bought at launch from them. So far, I've only seen the "after we've patched the hell out of the game" versions. >_> So I don't know if I should be a little afraid of what will be on my PC August 24th.

I'm also worried the official release will still be more beta testing.  Recently I lost a level of adventure questing so while I had TONZ of adventure research the game reported me as only level_2 and I could not enter any level_3 locations.  I feel the game is stable for release when players actually have to 'hunt' for game bugs instead of being swarmed by game bugs.

True dat.  I have 4 and I played it for a week before forgetting about it.

I am very excited about Elemental coming out this month.   It looks like an awesome follow up to MOM, which I still love.  Torin the Chosen, anyone?  I am so stoked that Stardock decided to make this game! Very very cool!

I hope they make their projected release date, but if they don't, it won't be a problem waiting for them to polish it up.  Even so, they are excellent with updates and patches.

Too much garbage out there these days to knock a company that cares about quality and their customers.

That's why I'm a stardocker for life.

According to my Raptr profile, I only made it 2 hours into the game before I stopped caring. Civ4 completely didn't click with me- I didn't even think it was remotely enjoyable.

Well, I wouldn't go as far as to say that I'm worried about it being extended beta testing for bugs. I have a decent amount of confidence in that. I was thinking more about in relation to balance and fun. Plus, one thing that really irritated me after purching Sins: Trinity was the fact that the first patch broke your gamesaves. I'd hate to start digging into a nice, long round of Elemental and then a new patch comes out that will make my gamesave useless.

I'm definitely an uncomfortable mix of excited and apprehensive waiting for launch day. The analogy of sending your kid into bat for the first time certainly rings true. I guess one of the down-sides of being part of the beta testing is that you get so damned attached to the game emotionally yet without any real sense of direct control. :)

It is very rare and very brave the way Frogboy and the others at Stardock have interacted with us here in the forum. I really appreciate this, and as others have said it puts Stardock on a different plane than any other developer.

Thanks Stardock :)
