Jsut a thought before the FINAL_PATCH_DAY(?) starts... HOP HOP HOP! lets have the Ptach up for d/l before I need to go shave and hop in the car for work!!!

(All mistakes in spelling and grammar are unintentional, and will be dealt with in the betta version of this post. The betta, will launch at precisely mid-during-afternoon-night-or-so-when-Beta 1.1-is-out-hopefully) :HOT:

It's past the exact middle of July, but I would assert that it is still mid-July and will remain so until after, say, the 20th. I really, really want the patch, too, but I'm not going to antagonize the developers....really, really, really....Antagonize?? Dude I'm just hyping up the site and Impulse and their game... Antagonising would be if i said:I've been playing SP in SOASE more and more and try MP once everytime I play, but the inet MP is so buggy that i first thought this is a crappy beta MP. But i didn'T say that. Because that would be being an ass. They stated mid July and all I was doing is stating my opinion on when i thought mid July is. So no harm meant to any of the Devs; they did an awesome job on the 3d and 2d engine anims and everything else. Just the gameplay in MP needs to be brushed up, and the patch i hope will do that (cause then SOASE would seriously be in my and probably alot of gamers' TOP 5 Space Strategy)If the Beta holds up what it promises, from the MP side i think we'll all be playing SOASE MP alot more.



Hope the patch didn't get sucked into a wormhole

Keeping in mind it's a beta patch, I'm not getting ramped up until the actual completed patch is released.

I'm not complaining here, just confused: I thought the patch was due in mid July, but, that they were going to release a beta before then for all to test. So they have not released the beta yet, correct?

Seems I ruffled many more feathers than intended. I apologize. The comment wasn't directed at anyone who's responded since I wrote. Additionally, upon reading it again, I realized that it came off as much more caustic than I'd intended. Sorry.

As for your comment, PurplePaladin, I originally had the same impression you did. However, through reading the forums, I think the plan is to release the 1.1 Beta (aka 1.09) in mid-July. I'm not 100% on that, but it seems to be accurate. At the least, I do sincerely hope the beta is coming forthwith.

Hopefully, the busy souls at Iron Clad will take this not as pressure or a demand, but rather as encouragement and a testament to the awesomeness that is the product they made. It'd definitely intended as the later.

The next major update for Sins of a Solar Empire is coming soon! Since this update is so huge and contains several brand new technologies, we are going to be offering it as an optional beta before its final release. If you are not comfortable with running potentially very buggy software (though we've tried to minimize it), do not install this beta - wait for the final release.

This beta update will be available only through Stardock's new Impulse platform sometime in mid-July. We will no longer be providing standalone patches for future versions of the game.

True, most posts in this thread are meant to encourage as far as I could read - that's why I made the thread. What the Impulse Team needs now is positive reinforcement: if I find out that they're all in a drinking induced coma instead of working i'll send my CAPs. Those posts that are nedative get -1 Karma! (*bumps Cooley ;p )

Of course, no one wants to go visit Stardock's HQ since it's located in the Detroit suburbs (the upper middle class suburb of Plymouth). Can you say, "Deeeeetroit Basketball!" (It's also the home of the Detroit Lions, the NFL's worst franchise, but we try not to think about it too much.)

I did talk to someone who came over here on a business trip from just outside of LA and her comment was that she thought the air quality was much, much better here.

Here it's close to 2100. Friday July 18th. Please can someone from IC tell us if we can have a normal weekend with friends, drinks and party or do we have a reason to wait and anticipate the Beta (test) coming out still today(us)/tonight(eu)?
Any comment would be highly appreciated I think. :D

yeah im with matum, i cant wait for the patch, but i want to know if its out this weekend or not, as at the moment i have a life but as soon as the beta comes out, bye bye!
