So, I gleefully install the final build of Sins yesterday after work, having thoroughly enjoyed the heck out of the game throughout the last beta. Tried playing one of the 1v1 maps, the very resource-poor one where you start out with an undeveloped planet (forget the name offhand), which is a really challenging but fun map. Then I played one of the more basic 1v1 maps, and watched the AI floor me as he sent a fairly large task force, including his capital ship, to raid one of my planets... and as I sent my fleet to respond, he warped in a few siege frigates behind me to lay waste to my homeworld.
That, my friends, is an excellently done AI. I don't think I've ever seen a game where bait-and-lure tactics were used by the computer. Bravo, this game is getting heavily recommended to everyone I know, and thanks for making me a proud pre-order customer.
