I had applied the animated wallpaper, "ColorSnails", to run on my desktop, which it did for over a week.
Since then I have tried to apply other animated wallpapers that I had downloaded from the website, but none of them will work.
So I clicked on “Disable DeskScapes” in DeskScapes to turn it off. Then I closed DeskScapes. Then I right clicked on my desktop, left clicked on “Personalize”, and I selected one of my images in My Pictures folder and clicked on it to “Set as a desktop background”.
I then right clicked on my desktop and clicked on “Configure DeskScapes” and it opens up displaying the still wallpaper as the current screensaver.
I then selected as an example, an animated wallpaper called “Beautiful Aurora Borealis”. But when I then click on “Apply to my desktop", "ColorSnails" starts playing in orange instead, both in the window, and on my desktop.
No matter what wallpaper I select from the Animated download menu the only wallpaper that appears in the window is "ColorSnails". Yet when I click on any one of the wallpapers in the Stills Download menu in DeskScapes the picture changes accordingly in the window to display it. When I then click on “Apply to my desktop” Deskscapes successfully changes my desktop to display the still wallpaper. But when I go back to the Animated menu and click on Downloaded, "ColorSnails" immediately appears in the window every time, and if I click on any other animated wallpaper to select it, "ColorSnails" keeps playing in the window, even though, the title printed in white changes to indicate I have selected a different wallpaper. And if I click on “Apply to my desktop” for any one of them, Deskscapes changes the still wallpaper back to "ColorSnails" on my desktop.
- I have tried shutting down and rebooting.
- I have used task manager to manually “End Process” of DeskScapes where it appears in both “Applications” and “Services”, and then rebooted
- I have reinstalled DeskScapes and rebooted
- I opened up file search and in Glary Utilities and found every instance of "ColorSnails" in my file system and deleted the file, going into every Deskscapes file location on my PC and manually checked for and deleted any and all "ColorSnails" file or shortcuts or applications I found, and rebooted.
Nothing works! Help!
