[Legendary Heroes] Please please please, please please.. please!!! Add more competition to flame-dart

The below is a from a previous post of mine:

Flamedart - Double casters level.

Shadowbolt - 4 +1 per caster level.

Also Shadowbolt was programmed not to benefit from the evocation traits and so on. flamedart should easily hit for more than double damage and not be resisted (due to super high spell mastery levels) if cast by wizards/warlocks.

Just loaded up my saved game and check, still no reason to use shadowbolt or any other single target nuke apart from dealing with immunity to fire. For multi-target, horific wail routinely clears every single unit off the map for me.

To be exact, my flame dart hits for 198, while my shadowbolt hits for 96. Lowest I've seen my flame-dart for is 174.

Perhaps we can add an unresistable nuke that does 75% of the damage - basically, a more powerful shadowbolt. Perhaps a water nuke that does 75% of the damage plus slows the unit.

Or an earth nuke that does 75% and has a chance to root/immobilise the unit.

Basically, as per the info provided above, there is nothing better than casting flame-dart and horrific wail at the moment. Zero reason. Not Soulburn, not Shadowbolt (with 1 exception - things immune to fire), not drain-life - nothing else.

Some other element contenders would be nice.

mqpiffle, thanks for mentioning that rise of the magi mod. It will be wonderful not to have to rebalance spells from the ground up, and rather enjoy someone else's work on that aspect of the game!
