Personally I start each new game with a custom sovereign (often leading a customized race, too); I just like combining the traits in different ways. Also I like every race to be able to build scrying pools, because they are great.

There is a wealthy trait that can be picked during sovereign creation, which provides +500 gold (in earlier versions it provided +1000 gold, which might account for the video). At one point, running with zero taxes was a very beneficial strategy - one could gain income from buildings such as the marketplace. This no longer works; the marketplace provides taxable gold, but if your tax rate is zero, that does not help. I would tend to stick to the 40% tax rate (22% unrest), and build some buildings that reduce unrest.

I suspect we'll some new ones after LH appears.

Tuidjy is definitely a power gamer, meaning he will use all of the 'best' combos to show how OP those combos are in practice.

I think his posts and points were better for showing balance and exploit of the system rather than how to play the game.

Is his strategy of designing a sovereign/race with adventurer, wanderlust, training henchman and then purchasing and running quests over and over still viable in 1.32?
