Brad, Derek and the rest of the Stardock team,
As the final release approaches, I would like to extend a note of appreciation to all of you for something competely unrelated to the quality and polish of the final game:
Throughout the beta process, you have made us beta-testers feel completely integrated with the development team - contributing with our bug reports, arguing over design details (sometimes even convincing Derek to change his view), and of course agonizing on how this game will be a great success worthy of the effort and thought you (primarily) and we (secondarily) have put into it.
I have been playing RPG and Strategy games since Lords of Midnight and Doomdark's Revenge, and never before have I felt so much a part of the development process, or so clear about the different design dilemmas and decisions.
This attitude, and the willingess to not only listen but also include your fans, is what cultivates loyalty beyond the confines of a single game...
So thanks again for making us part of the development experience
Now let's start talking about our share of the profits....
