Homecoming was so beautiful. It is a memory I could live everyday for the rest of my life.
All day I was in my P.J.’s playing video games (aren’t I sad?). Then at about 6 I started getting ready. Every time I saw my mom during the day she would yell at me about how I am going to dump Alex tonight or I will not be going to anymore dances. She made me run to my room 3 times that day because she is forcing me to break up with someone I care about more than anything. Besides that…
I wore an emerald green, strapless dress. I liked it, except for the fact that I had to tape my bra on my body, and then tape my dress to my bra (I used duct tape). I got there at a quarter till, and me, Jenn and Billie had our pictures taken in front of the school. Fun, fun! After that, we pulled around to the west side of the school where there was a crowd of our friends, including my date.
Alex tried to match his sweater with my dress, it was a little off. : P He had more of an olive green and I had an emerald green. Well, he walked up and said, “Hey, my mom wants to get our picture. Oh, and I have something in the car for you.” I was like, “ok…” (He already bought my ticket and everything like that, but I paid him back for it anyway) He came up to me and gave me a corsage, I could have died. That was so sweet, I couldn’t even think at the moment. Then, Mrs. Hoffman took our picture in the entrance to the Vo-Ag wing of the school (there was a lot of lighting there). Then, I walked over to my mom, and she looked PISSED! She says to me, “Alright, love you…” (In the snottiest tone you can imagine) and walked to the car. Personally, I didn’t care at all, it was my night… and I wasn’t going to let her ruin it like that.
We walked in the door and there were only a few people in the cafeteria! There was also a live band there, The Fattones! Listening to them, I think Ska music is all right, though it’s not my favorite. Then after they played a few songs, they DJed the rest of the time.
It was great, I saw girls who looked absolutely stunning, almost to the point I didn’t even recognize them! Andy was dancing like a maniac to Dip It Low. It was great. We saw Tiffany and Rachel there. Rachel has her hair short now because she joined the Navy. It was so cool to see them again. Me and Alex also got our pictures formally taken, by the picture lady who divorced my uncle to get a hold of his property and positions (He didn’t lose the house or land because it was under my grandparents name at the time.) She did get everything in the house. But hey, no hard feelings right?
It was so pretty in there… I will never forget what it looked like! And Alex had to stay after and clean up! Poor Alex.
I can’t even say how much of a time I had. Thanks Alex. You are absolutely amazing. Thank you for being there for me the day after school because I was crying. It led to feelings much deeper. And the only thing I regret about our relationship is letting you down the first time you asked me out…
