Your opinion. My Opinion. We (the US) don't need permission from the lackey's at the UN for anything concerning this country! drmiler: Lackey's
The only law the US President has to recognize is the constitution and congress gave him the authority to act. Draginol: Is it? Yes, but Saddam was authorised by his coun

Ravenblack: I think you should have gone ahead and tried the stuff. My philosophy in life: "I'll never say YUCK until I've tried it".
Welcome to JU. "MABUHAY KAYO" Which language is this and what does it mean(in English)?
An interesting article about what copyright really stands for and if we are actually allowed to link to other articles on the usenet/internet, freely use stuff on the net just thinking that it's free to use because it's out there, etc. Here it is. Link <
This article Link caught my attention today morning. It spoke of a military parade where Iran showed off its range of ballistic missiles , with the rockets draped in banners vowing to "crush America" and "wipe Israel off the map". And all this with the talk of the Israelis saying that the Iranians could h
Angloesque: I did some more research about the divorce process here in India and found out this: "First requisite is the concerned parties must have been married for at least a year to file a divorce application. When the petition is filed, there is a counselling session by social workers assisted by the lawyers at the family courts. During the court proceedings the lady judge tries to talk to both the parties, trial is started and the parties
Just out of curiosity, what would happen if a couple like yourselves were to divorce? Could you both remarry? Are their penalties? Or is it a really hard process to go through? Angloesque: In India, all major religions have their own laws which govern divorces within their own community, and separate re
Lyrics of a popular Hindi B'day song: 'Aap Jiyo Hazaaron Saal Aur saal ke din ho pachas hazaar' English Translation: May you live a thousand years and may each year have fifty thousand days Anyway, Happy Birthday to you and have a wonderful year ahead too! <img src="../images/smiles/events.gif" border
No, this is not going to be a blog about where a guy meets a girl, falls head over heels in love with her and they decide to ge married the first thing next morning. Though it would be wrong on my part to suggest that something like that did not happen between me and my wife-to-be. How many Westerners know that in most countries of the East, a marriage is n
Nice collection there. "Arise, Awake, Stop not till thy goal is reached" is one of his favourite statements still quoted around in India.
This will be the only time I will ever do this. Dharma: And I think this the most wonderful thing that one can do for a friend. God bless you and Gideon's got mail.
Excellent Article.
Emperor: Another nice post as usual. One thing I did not understand, you said in the predominantly white areas: "But they get embarrassed when they don't want to buy. They'll actually hide. And driving round an apparently empty subdivision (knowing full well that there's stay at home moms hiding behind the drapes and refusing to let their kids out till the truck chimes can no longer be heard) is like driving around on the far side of
Manopeace: Full marks
My God! I hadn't the slightest idea that the Aussies too were going the way of their American cousins.
Nice article, Emperor. What you said about fags is true. But if I may be allowed to proceed further here, where do we draw a line here? We know that Black Americans were called by the name 'nigger' in the US till the 60's at least. Isn't 'nigger' is a derivative of the word 'negro' - black in European (Spanish). So, yes calling a black man 'nigger' is justified because he has, after all black skin. But this word was used then in a d
Steve: Nice article with a different perspective on this 'outsourcing' business. Your talking about imports brings something to my mind. My colleague was visiting the US towards the end of 2001. He came back and presented me with a tie pin that carried the stars and stripes. I turned this pin back and what did I see etched on the reverse--"Made in China".
Nicely 'collaged' poem, if I could call it that. Well done.
Gideon: I had wondered sometime back about what it was with you when I had written up a comment on someone's(mignuna's, I think) blog that family means everything and you said it was not for everyone. But this blog does give me an insight of all what you have gone through, for no fault of your own. Yes, to be born into a family that is loving and sticks together should not be taken for granted. You seem to be there for your wife and kids all
Nice post Matt . You have stated your position clearly. We should also hold elections, so that the Iraqi leaders are not veiwed as puppets of America. But , what options does the US have? There will be 3 groups jockeying for power here: 1. Existing Administration :- Will not win as seen
India is a land of snake charmers and elephants. This is true as far as the fact of having snakes and elephants in India is concerned. But imagine the hillarity of the situation when tourists land up at the airport and expect Indian cab drivers to be riding elephants instead of cars. Of course this does not happen nowadays, but such an impression was the norm upto the early 70's.
