Hey Frogboy! How about opening up a new line of business in e-learning? C++, Python, modding... You already have the programmers right there (and instruction capable?), as well as Impulse for its distribution. With all the possibiliites out there and in the works, I'm sure there's plenty of people willing to purchase that from Impulse. Audiovisual instruction makes this approachable to a wider audience and is a lot faster to learn (e.g. CBT Nuggets). <
Don't bitch about your good fortune
Well, everything that happened was very odd, to the point of me complaining about a refund (very odd indeed!) but I actually wanted to keep the game. I got my lesson learned for the next time I see a good deal. Steam is generally more restrictive than Impulse (another good selling point, as people take more notice of that). Stardock is trying to cut a deal with Bethesda, and modding is som
Stardock is good, yes, but Steam tends to have better deals going alot of the time.
You are very correct, unfortunately. I keep reminding myself that patience is required to see Impulse grow to a similar level - as long as Stardock is able to learn from what's happening with the competition. It seems that Steam is busting at the seams and cracking all over from their own weight. You're either very, VERY careful on your purchase, or you
A good price for Oblivion: Game of the Year Edition! On June 17th, Steam had an advertisement of Oblivion: Game of the Year Editon with 20% off. The price was at $16.79. An excellent deal! I clicked on that advertisement that took me to the game page. In that page there was also an option to buy a package of Oblivion + Morrowind, but nothing else. I then purchased the Oblivion GOTY, which has the Shivering Isles expansion and the Knights of th
I'm not aware of any significant issues with Demigod at this point. The most recent connectivity update has pretty much, in my view, made it bullet proof.
I was referring to the overall problems that triggered the can't-please-all offer of very limited coupons. For people like me that were unlucky to see this on time (or due to technical glitches), this brought up feelings of dismay and frustration.
As for coupons
As the coupon mentioned, there will be others.
Hi Frogboy. Your direct input is greatly appreciated as always. I'm sure that you're not immune to the headache that Demigod is still causing and it is unfortunate that this situation happened the way it did, and the somewhat frustrated tone from me and others in the same circumstance. When you say that there will be others, I hope that the problems indicated will be addressed. H
Yeah, I don't understand the rage
The "rage" has everything to do with the rather limited method of distribution. How come only 3 days? What time zone was that expiration date based on? Why couldn't the coupon still be used after a first failed attempt? Some players didn't even got the coupon? For those of you that were able to use it, for those that didn't care about the promotion, this is nothing. But please, try to understan
Tactical combat is an important feature that works best when there's also an option to auto-resolve. I don't see why these two features wouldn't come together in order to satisfy the meticulous (I want to be in charge of every battle), the curious (hmm, let's give this a try) and the annoyed (gah! not this again!).

I think allowing alignment to change during the course of the game would allow for tons of opportunities, both for play style and diplomacy. That said, I guess it'd be possible to start out as a given alignment but still change during the game. After all, good can turn to evil and vi
Frogboy needs to focus on more elemental things in Stardock. Demigod provided quite an insight on game development. For those of us that enjoyed the ride, be glad of it. :)
For instance, if someone wants to create a custom civilization and in there choose “good” or “evil” that’s fine.
