I had an enemy stack approaching one of my cities and filled it up with 8 slave militias and lastly added a light horse unit as the 9th. That enemy AI attacked the city and my light horse unit never appeared in that combat. 2 city defenders and 8 slave militias participated in the combat and won. Afterward, my light horse unit was gone. No where to be found. The one slave militia said it was composed of 17 members, not the expected 4 members. A few other slave militias who survived th

I don't think this behavior is intended. Your own caravans can block your units from moving along a road. It would seem reasonable to me to only be blocked by units you are at war with.

One of my starts was on a small peninsula with room for only one city. The exit from the peninsula was blocked by some nasty mob. The generated maps have too many bottlenecks. The special quest areas that are surrounded by mountains take up a lot of room. Doesn't help that when a city gets razed and you can't build there again.
There's also a solution around diplomacy: the AI should try to steamroll YOU! If you are steamrolling an AI, it should do all it can to make another AI, closer to you go to war with you (it's dead anyway so it can promise gold, techs, women, whatever...). Because movement is slow now, it's going to make it difficult for the player to defend a second front. Same thing for when the AI declares war: now it declares war when it&#39
I voted terrible. ...
I agree bug fixing doesn't seem to have been given any priority. Last beta version various pathing issues were reported and those same issues are still present. The reloading saves issue you detail is significant and its not a good sign nothing has been done. I can deal with the bugs. I'm not expecting the AI to be good at this point. So I voted "fair".</p
Fallen Enchantress still has the same issues that the original Elemental: War of magic had 2 years ago. All of which were reported way back then. - Game states are not saved correctly. Loading saved games can have silly results. Besides crashing after about 5 loads (I presume it's the same memory leak I reported 2 years ago.) My last game had Magnar with 12 traits at level 7 (Probably more because he had at least 2 levels of fire m

The pictures in the thread are nice but it seems like your talking about replacing all of the games landscape graphics. Perhaps it would be relatively little work to change one or two of the special map areas into plateaus? Instead of so many high mountains surrounding a patch of land. All of the trees are the same type. Add some pine trees?

I'm not sure if the listed outpost enchancements would make the game more or less fun. Once I have my stack of doom created, are these enhanced outposts going to do anything worthwhile? Seems like they will be more free XP for my heroes. I'm noticing that issues reported with the previous beta haven't been addressed. Specifically, the pathing problems and the AI spamming cheap worthless units.

Hah, thats pretty funny. I wish the enemy cities had some different options when their ruler surrenders. Go independent. Join another nearby faction. Raze themselves to migrate to other nearby cities. When contacted, offer to join that faction for a fee.

AI doing dumb things with armies? .91 seems better than previous versions but it still isn't great. I was at the doorstep of an enemy city. It had one hero in the city. So it tried to move two single army units past my army to add to the city defense. One of them could have made it with better unit management and choice of path.

On challenging, the AI sovereign's are getting lots of free skills. Also they seem to be easily out growing me in number of cities and number of units. Militias that come with each city for defensive purposes also seem boosted. I'd also like 2 sliders for difficulty. The AI definitely seems much better with .90 but I can't tell whats due to the freebies they are getting.
I have been thinking latley and realized that this planet wont last forever, so I got the idea why not pour our resources into making an FTL Drive. I know it would cost trillions even more then that, but the money that could be made by effecient space travell could be greater than the money spent. It could permanent the permenant survival of the human race. This is my opinion tell me what you think.
</
There's no point in releasing a beta where reports would be dominated with bugs we are already aware of.
You could include a list of known bugs and issues with a beta release. Of course, no everyone would read it and then you'd still be dealing with lots of useless forum posts.
