Hi all, I've been away for awhile but I'm back now. I changed my OS and reinstalled GalCiv and Stardock. I first ran the update for GalCiv for v1.05.071, then installed Bonus Pack v1.0.007, and then ran the update for Multimedia v1.0.008. What I was wondering is, should I have run the Bonus Pack and Multimedia BEFORE I updated the game to 1.05.071? Just curious, that's all. Would hate to screw the game up. Thanks, Gary :)
Here here [twisti]...I agree with you. I can understand someone not liking a game if they can actully post something concrete. However, people using phrases like "this sucks" shows a low level of education and maturity. Heck, if I don't like a game, I don't even bother going to the forum for it.

I can understand the problem with tendonitis. I have CTS (carpal tunnel syndrome) in both wrists and have to wear those stupid wrist supports. It seems to help but it is cumbersome. PLEASE be sure to get the proper wrist support while at your computer. You don't want to end up like me!! Wish y'all good health!
Sorta OT but I was wondering something. Since this game is such a successful piece of software, does anyone think that maybe Prima, Brady, or Sybex will publish an "Official" strategy guide? I know it MAY be a problem with the many super updates that we get. I do think it would be cool. Also, any of you great writers out there ever thought of writing fan fiction? I've always found it kinda emmersive to read that kinda stuff! :)
As an afterthought, there are only 4 games I've played in all these years that left me sleepless....Star Flight, MOO, Homeworld, and the entire Diablo series! "Oh the pain....the pain"! :)
I am REALLY looking forward to the continued patches AND the expansion pack. I can already tell now, there will be even MORE sleepless nights due to the OMT syndrome...heehee....Man, I love this GAME!!!! :D :CONGRAT: :d

Hi ya'll. I hope that this forum doesn't become the environment of flamers. That's why I don't post on the MOO3 board. I have actually started enjoying MOO3 with the addition of some great user-created mods. However, I find it difficult to compare MOO3 and GalCiv. I certainly enjoy GalCiv. I play it much more than I do any of my other games. This game really shines IMO. This game hooks me and and won't let me go. I just hope the GalCiv/MOO3 debate will just stop. Besides any

Hey Arne and all...I love this game. Just got it today and am still learning. Very fun. It's especially refreshing to have a developement team that really cares about the project and the players.
