Personally I have no clue why the government dosen't go after qwest (our provider for telephone) for being a monopoly... after all they have every state west of the rockies and then some... qwest holds a bunch of big gov. contracts *cough* not that that has anything to do with it

I can make a win2k or xp webserver just as secure as any linux server. Dosen't matter the platform.
Actually 64% of the web is running Apache webserver (roughly) Which is run on Linux, Unix, Windows, and just about every other platform made. So no, 85% of web servers do NOT run linux.

In other words no OS and no Firewall is absolutely secure? Considering I spent a year of my life dedicated to finding and writing proof of concept exploits for software and appliance firewalls (for a security company)... No.

No, actually, I can't say anything good about linux. GPL will always hinder it. The kernel change commits by one person will always hinder it. The inability for them to decide on common formats will probably be its ultimate demise. There are too many factors between the different distros and groups in the linux movement who refuse to budge/compromise with one another that eventually they'll just kill themselves off.
