I got this wierd bug were I zoomed in on part of the map and saw all my enemies astroid bases even though they were all the way across the map. I've also had situations when I claim a resource but my starbases doesn't appear on it.

I'd say if you and the enviroment can effect the looks of your units then thats a plus for the game. I like how in mythology the men left skelotons behind and if they had lasted a little longer you would get the feeling of accomplishment with having fought there. As your mummy's cross the sands towards your enemy's fort you would remember that battle you had in the beginning, whether it was an easy victory or a crushing defeat. Kudos on the upgrades affecting looks. I never really got
Quoting HeroicHerald, reply 19 Like I said, they will survive, but whatever ends this war won't be TEC, Advent, or Vasari. It won't even be human. The game is called after all, Sins of a Solar Empire... What do you mean it won't be TEC, Advent, or Vasari? Why won't it be human? And what does the fact that the game is called Sins of a Solar Empire have to do with anything? Samurye.
I'll buy the expansions but I won't buy your next game IronClad. I remember reading how a dev bragged that they had "left out" some parts to the game so they could focus on a single aspect. That is a problem. When you make a car, you don't stop at the engine and then charge the buyer for the rest. Especially in individual pieces. If they had just done their job and tryed to play the game from several perspectives, they'd see there were holes in their cake. I will buy an expansions when they r

I still believe that the TEC haven't been represented correctly. In my mind, when the Vasaris came they conquered nearly a quarter of the TEC space before the ten year gap brought them to a halt. At first it may have been numbers that helped the TEC from being crushed. They merely lost a limb for the whole body. However if you compare this to the actual game, I would say that the TEC had a 1.5 five loss rate against the Vasari when the Advent came. It also specifically states in the intro tha

I think I just got some inspiration! - Planetary governers who would be of your own party and provide bonuses to you. However, if you are unpopular on the planet they'll elect another party's rep and you with be penaltied. - Assassination. Use hired assassins in the form of agents to take out characters. Not the major civs presidents though, but people like Admirals and Governers. Depending on the person targetted and the lvl of the assassin, you would have and average of 50%

I generally weaken my most powerful enemies with combination of prolonged espionage and engaging all their neighbors in war with them. Just as they are being overwhelmed, I swoop in from behind their lines using a massive fleet of long range transports and quickly conquer all their worlds in a matter of weeks. The trick is to accuratly predict their weakness. The best sign I've noticed is when their fleet begins to retreat back to their borders in attempt to efend their failing lines. It can

To add some more to the list I want: - Orbital shipyards required to build the larger ships. - I want bigger classes of vessels like motherships and mobile factories. - I want to appoint admirals and heroes to my forces. Captains for space combat and generals for ground warfare. - Range should be more restrictive and your ships should have to return to port for supplies. There could be a timer that when gone the ship returns automatically to the nearest friendl

I want pirates to be a large force in the galaxy since war often breeds such illicit activites. They could have super starbases which spawn near trade lanes and make both themselves and nearby by pirate vessels invisible without special sensors. The entire criminal element needs to be revamped. I mean how many officers in all of the races navys don't dream of becoming warlords? There should be a defection rate when your in a war, when ships either join another navy or b

I want to be able to construct my own custom tech tree in game without resorting to mods. The ability to write the description to your home planet would be cool. Also the ability to set the rarity of bonus tiles and resources you start out with in sandbox. Oh and more pirates that pop up like anomalies.

Yeah I think the minors should be way more powerful. They would have: - Control their entire solar system at the start. - Have a very powerful fleet. Iconic behemoths bigger than anything you could make, but way slower and essentially restricted to defense. These ships would be unique and nonreproducable. - Have rare unique technologies that you would have to trade planets for. - More trade routes than the major civs. - Mercenaries in the form of buyabl

I don't think it's a bad story, but I kinda feel like the invincible enemy plotline has been beaten to death. Nothing is invincible. The way the author portrayed some of the TEC officers is inaccurate. They're reckless and accept to many losses as a whole. Other than that, I wonder how the TEC have been "holding off the Vasari and in some cases pushing them back" if they can't even hold against an enemy that is only 1000 years ahead of them. The Vasari had ten's of thousands of warfare and te

Damn those Advent! They're not that powerful! The bloody TEC should have at least had 50% chance of taking them out. If this is all your stories are going to be about, the TEC getting bum raped, then I'm out! Advent got nothing on the TEC! [e digicons]:andrew:[/e] It should've been like "Bwee bwee bwee, oh no how could that clever and very handsome TEC Admiral outwit us the Advent again!?" The marines would be all like "KUCHUCK" as they boarded the Advent carrier and pistol whipped th

Yeah I found it kinda of shocking that men at the top to such a risk in making this game. It's sad that a game the developers put their heart and soul in gets put down because its from EA. It's not the devs fault....

I want TEC space marines! Fitted with cool black mesh armor that absorbs lasers and bullets for a limited time. Oh and cool weapons like a automatic rifle that shoots tiny tungsten missiles that pierce those Advent soldiers armor and explode inside. A laser rifle too that can alternate between a continuing stream or rapid lancing. Also they should have drones like the ones for their repair ships that swarm the Advent and cut their armor open like so many cans... please? [e digicons]:')[/e]</
