I would like to try MP. it's hard to find a game though. I can only play on saturdays.I would reccomend 11.00-12.00 pm GMT time. Sins has many people online , but because games are so long , many are inside games rather then waiting for games.
You do know that the T in GMT stands for time right? Anyway... I've heard a lot about the illum/LRM spam. Now I haven't been able to get into an online game yet, but has anyone thought about countering them at all
too many noobs online complaining about tactics in with the Z-axis.
that's the kind of talk that strays people away from online they never ment for z to actually be a factor in gameplay, so when it started to become one they took it away to fix it so that it isn't any longer

First, 2 questions. I know the antimatter regeneration structure says that it only empowers capital ships, but is that entirely true? Also, is there any way to shorten the cool down of the culture weapon? It's an awesome way to start a siege and is really funny watching the AI chasing my scout as it runs circles around the gravity well, watching for the hit so the rest of my fleet can come barging in. Anyway... What are you're late game Advent strategies? I'd like to
i know this was kinda used in homeworld cataclysm but lets go with the stereotypical thing. the vasari created some sort of organic ship or life or A.I. or something that was considered top secret(therefore not even some high ranking military officials knew of it let alone the public)and it got out of control started takingevery planet it could find liek a cancer and is simply wiping out all other organic life in the universe and the vasari since it was top secret are running away from it

I'm really surprised about all of the, go buy a book, responses. When talking about the unknown force chasing the Vasari there are many good points to make. As said, sometimes the unknown is better. However, Cloverfield was in shrouds for half a year and now we have exact models of the monster since the dvd/blue ray is out. This monster is actually better to a lot of people than the unknown speculation that went on before the movie. They could blow it, but they could also pull it off. A

More realistic systems. Binary stars and black holes would be nice. Also, I'm really into astronomy and physics, but I don't think I've ever even heard of a green star. How about varying star sizes based on color or planets based on their stars. White and black dwarves with no close ranged planets and just some outlying 'asteroids' of the destroyed gas giants? Make radiation an actual factor? Make it so that you can only get so close to stars or you'll be absorbed by the immense gravitational pu

I wouldn't miss a campaign, if it weren't for the enthralling story they present you with in the opening cinematic. I love to have stories in every game I play. If there isn't a story it's usually for a good reason. Again, I could care less if Sins had a campaign normally, but it feels really awkward not having one after all the emphasis they put on the backstory. PS. To the person who said that Starcraft was all about multiplayer, when my friends and I talk about Starcraft all we talk

I'd like for them to implemtent more realistic physics. Stars aren't only twice the size of planets. Asteroid belts make an oval, not a dot. Most systems have 2 stars that orbit each other. Gas giants are much more common. The only thing I wouldn't like is getting rid of sound, technically, that's the worst flaw of the game.

I just bought the game on Friday and downloaded it. After reading on strategies, testing them on AI, and subsequently destroying the AI, I'd like to see how people play online. The problem, though, is that I don't have the box yet, and I don't know which of the 10 serial numbers Stardock gave me is the CD key. Can anyone help me find it so I can create an account?

I actually started with the empire tree, but when the AI wasn't putting all of the structures exactly where I wanted it I started playing with the overveiw look, ignoring everything else when I want to see my fleet of 4 capital ships and I don't know how many frigates and cruisers owning a pirate base.

I've been playing for 2 weeks and I'm still trying to memorize the icon and shapes of Vasari ships, it's the only race that I can't tell if it's sending a seige frigate or a support cruiser towards me. So, yeah, 'steep learning curve' is pretty appropriate.
