"Brad Wardell: That's the one most of our developers are on. It's pretty far along, it's actually been in development for a while. We have two people working on Demigod right now, actually three if you count network. But the rest of the development team is on the fantasy strategy game." good job to the two, maybe three, of you!
well, i did no changes to my settings or computer but low and behold, problem fixed!
i have the latest verson of nvidia drivers from laptop2go.com and the circle that shows the castable area of special attacks doesn't show up. oddly enough, with previous versions of drivers it does. ------------------ System Information ------------------ Operating System: Windows Vista™ Home Premium (6.0, Build 6001) Service Pack 1 Language: English (Regional Setting: English)<br
i believe its actually 512mb
i'll start off by mentioning how egar i am for this game to become. i play the game vsync off, fidelity medium, shadows low, aa 2, textures both at high at 1280x800 with the latest drivers from laptop2go.com the gameplay is mostly solid but i cant help but feel its alittle laggy. and its disappointing with at these settings the fog of war is very generic. the initial minute or two of each game lag very much, but again, this is only at the very beginning of a game.
maybe its the 8600 GT. i put my settings to vsync off, aa 2, fidelity medium, shadows low and textures both high and the game is definatly playablle but seems alittle laggy. heres to hoping this can be improved! ------------------ System Information ------------------ Operating System: Windows Vista™ Home Premium (6.0, Build 6001) Service Pack 1 Language: English (Regional Setting
this is my first beta, so im not exactly sure what goes in a beta vs. a final product. any speculation on if we'll have more graphic options in the final product?
with my resolution on the lowest setting, i used a warp scroll while fighting ...running away from... a demigod. the target demigods portrait was still up in the middle of the top of the screen, when trying to stock up on potions the portrait was impeeding me from buying the cheapest health potion. i couldnt purchase the potion while the targets portrait was up and blocking the potion icon.
i was thinking the same thing. after all, from what i hear the rook was a king who turned into a living castle to house and save his people; assuming people are alittle shorter than minataurs, it must have been a puny kingdom. id like to the the rook to be GIGANTIC and the other demigods to be larger than life (they are demigods after all).
oh no! i had fun
Yeah i'd just like a shop button myself. But if they condensed it to 1 store with tabs, that'd be fine too.
if the stores are prexisting structures id prefer one store for everything. if the generals have to build the stores, then it makes sense for them to be seperate.
i think its strange you buy things with gold in this game. it makes more sense to me the you would earn credit/reputation/worth for killing enemies and you could trade that for goods. but id like to be able to train skills when your dead. and being able to buy things while dead would allow you to get back into battle quicker, but would make having to run back to the physical location while alive seem odd.
if it was my way, id have the same basic mesh for good and evil with minor adaptations to each respective side. such as the rook from the evil side slightly darker, almost scorched from fire, maybe some of the towers cracked or have pieces broken off to give a "he came through hell to get here" appearance. and the good side could be a more pristine rook. the buildings seem to me copies of the other side with only color change. i think slightly different models for each
It would be great visually if the areas by the flags would be slightly visually different if controlled by good or evil. There could be darker, more overcast tones if evil controls the area where good would have brighter golden/light blue tones. Maybe the heart of the evil land could even have molten cracks and fire/lava and the good side could have heavenly beams of light or marble and gold features. and differentiate the good and evil buildings. roman colums for the good side, trees, water
I've noticed that asassins will auto target enemy mines but do no damage to them.
There could be different icons and models for each asassin. possibly limit only one piece of each armor type. EDIT: maybe instead of buying armor you buy jewels, gems, insignia that attaches to your armor to buff it. and of course, it would look great fully modeled on your avatar.
Regarding the armor system, being able to wear multiple pieces of one type of armor takes me out of the game. It doesn't make sense to me that you can wear two helmets. Maybe instead of armor, you could buy some kind of buff to the armor you have. And if the armor showed up on the controlable avatar would be cool and personalise the character. Maybe there could be a character creation section where you could permanantly change how they character looks, all though not too dramatically.
thanks for the quick rsponse!
so the beta will be playable single player?
