Wow Starcraft2 is good, but the game was not ready for release. I bought it on the 28th, installed it & then noticed my mouse icon is not moving even though i can select options....i put the game in windows mode to fix that. Then i try to add the license & the key is not working.....had to go back to best buy. Now the game plays but only in window mode since full screen still has the mouse issue & the game graphics are al
If I have to hack a game to enjoy it, or use it reasonably, might as well just skip the purchasing part of it. I had to crack Bioware to get my legit copy to even work, and since then I've sworn never to buy another product that'd put me in that kind of situation. I'm glad some people support it, I just wish more people stood up to companies like Activision who are only around to rape your wallets and sell yo
Ahh, that's what I figured was going on. Tried 3 games so far all with that same result. The AI will use Tactical Spells if I Auto the battle, but as you said, we can't cast them ourselves in tactical battles. The icons for the spells aren't listed.
I've seen that happen, but I've also seen it work, where I could cast spells just fine. In any case, tactical battles in their current state I don't consider w
The game has a built-in tutorial so that you can learn the basics. Maybe it would be best to start off by playing regular Sins, then by moving on to Entrenchment, and then Diplomacy. Once you understand regular Sins it isn't too hard to pick up the expansions one by one.
He said he wants a trainer, he didn't say anything about having trouble beating the game or needing help learning how to play. lol, I can't even remember the last time I had a minidump on Trinity, at least when unmodded. Clearly you have issues, but don't try to accuse the developers of being the worst PC gaming has to offer, if the game was having mini-dumps in the first 3-5 minutes for everyone, everytime, someone is sure as hell going to notice and do something about it. Whatever the problem is, it's an uncommon one. For most people, current, fully updated Sins is quite stable.

lol, just noticed how old this thread is :P Anyways, I love Starcraft, and I'm sure I'll love Starcraft 2, but the one thing I hate about the game is what the game is most popular for, the multiplayer. More specifically, competitive multiplayer. Sins is the same way of course, but when I play multiplayer, I want to sit back and enjoy the game, not have to worry about perfecting my build orders, maximizing my apm, and trying to snuff out the opponent and end the game as

I had this happen in my current game, and the Pirates promptly sent every race in the game back to the stone age, trapped on their worlds. My medium sized ships, at the time perhaps the strongest in the game, didn't stand a chance. It was dozens of turns biding my time while my new Destroyer fleets were designed and constructed. The first few versions were wiped out as well, but model after model, my warships started taking more and more Pirate vessels down with them, with the finally

lol, plain "Stardock" text on a white sheet, on a nondescript booth in a generic looking location, thanks for sharing ;)
I already knew they cheated in those ways, and would assume it's intentional, but damn that's a big difference.
I think I first got that idea in my head sometime around when I figured out that the US and Canada weren't the same thing. In other words, forever ago. :P

SupCom has a large multiplayer community, but like most games with a solid skirmish mode, which SupCom has, many people, myself included, play single player. SupCom is no exception.

NP its a great game and it dosn't infrindge on the C&C world (pity the later C&C games arn't as good as this game).
Seriously? Generals is the only installment in the entire franchise I consider to be complete crap. I was a bit disappointed with Red Alert 3, but don't hate it as I do generals with it's clunky graphics, dull uni
For me, it doesn't come down to what I'm willing to pay for. Sure, I don't like the price, but it wouldn't stop me from buying it if I wanted it. What does stop me is an unwillingness to support the arbitrary price hiking between editions. When I see a program available, then see that I have to pay more in order to get 2 of the features, features that strike me as practically nothing in terms of additional development work required over the basic edition, I find it insulting.
I've got the demo going now, and I like it, but still not sure what to do with it. The main issue being price, $50? The thing costs more than Sins Trinity does, for something that has shareware equivalents that really aren't all that inferior, if at all. It's not even that I'm short on cash, but the principle of it irritates me, most notably the different versions. 30$ is already pushing it for this kind of software, but another 20$ if I want more than 1 secondary? And to transfer fil

Not sure if anybody else has mentioned it already (I only skimmed the replies), but you should know that on secondary playthroughs, you start the game with extra resources, 50,000 of each I think. It doesn't remove the need to scan planets entirely, but it does cut down on it a fair bit.
Why do you hate mines that much?
I'd love to be able to disable mines as well. This current system is crap, the joy of a minefield is in the enemy not knowing where the mines are. If they're not going to be invisble, I'd rather play without them. Plus, they're not that great on a functional level either, especially homing mines, you could lose a dozen of the things taking out a single damn scout.
I'd definitely place the Pyramid like ships as Stargate, very reminiscent of Ra's ship in the original movie.
As far as I've seen, the Pirates do not have an option to refuse. If you pay for the mission, they do the mission.
Skipping over the fact of whether or not 4 gigs is possible or not for moment...Assuming that it was, is changing something like that even within the scope of what can reasonably be expected from patches? Seriously looking forward to a Sins 2 some day though.
To anyone with complaints about the balance, keep in mind that it's Blizzard, if the original Starcraft can be used as an example, they'll probably be doing balance changes in patches for the next decade.
