WB 6.00[b].099 -- when I click on the "File" button in both Notepad and Wordpad, the program EXITS! I've been using WB since version 3 and this never happened before. OS=WinXP Pro, with all the updates.

Whoever is doing Stardock's website is obviously not the same person as the people who wrote WindowBlinds. They are using some kind of fixed spacing codes that don't adjust with resolution / DPI - a no no, so that the text displays on top of buttons and on top of itself...

Programs that don't work with WB 5.49(d)(b), even if excluded: Gimp 2.2 Limewire Frostwire IAS viewer (a program for viewing Jpeg2000 images.) These programs all seem to be multi-platform ports from Linux. I know that the last three rely on Java, so the incompatibility is probably between some installation of Java and WB. Others have said that their installation of Gimp 2.2 works fine with WB, so I suspect the Java component, which can vary from machine to machine

IHW -- so what exactly have you done since your last post to get rid of the system errors you are talking about? I've used WB since version 3, and I've run into some screwy bugs, but nothing like what you described.

It's well known Vista is incompatible with a lot of programs. A utility like Windowblinds that works at the system level is not going to be too happy with Vista in any version.

Conflict with Gimp 2.2 in WindowBlinds Stardock Forums

Windowblinds 5.0 conflicts with Gimp 2.2 (a paint program ported from Linux, using the GTK runtime environment) resulting in corrupted menu display and upside down text in Gimp. Excluding the various exe files in Gimp and GTK does not work.
