I will spell it out for you. You want this place to want you. That's pathetic when you think about it.

You say you will change and then you do. That would be an admirable quality if what you turned into wasn't somehow worse than what you were before.

LW was right. The older folks around here just don't want to hear about your lack of sex or desire there for. I don't care, but you insist on putting this stuff in the forums.

You are a point junkie. You have put out article after article of crap. If you want to do those sorts of things fine, but be considerate of the other bloggers who take time to write interesting stuff. You are in the top ten blog sites and the top 45 bloggers. You have pushed your way to the top without writing a single thing of true meaning. Shame on you.

I was serious about the MySpace thing. You will find it to be a much more receptive environment. Because, like you, the vast majority of subscribers are still trying to figure out whom they really are.

See the people you admire most here give you glimplses into their personal life but you can really judge their charachter by the quality of the items they choose to write about and the manor in which they do. Lucas, I don't think it wise to take advice from people who are JU addicts, and can't manage to "take a break".

Like me? I've been here for 2 years, and the only times I've taken breaks were when we moved and I didn't have internet access (and even then I blogged from my MIL's house) and when I was in the hospital having my back fixed. So, if anyone's addicted and unable to take a break, it's me. Other people have said that they're taking a break and have actually done it for a month and then some. I haven't been able to do that.

It might be equally unwise to take advice from someone who has just gotten off of confinement herself less than 24 hours ago, and now thinks shes queen shit because Brad took pity on her.

Yet another thing is... pertaining to the article issue. I am getting two different things.

1) Post for yourself. (e.g. Weekly "what happend" blogs)

2) Don't post "drivel" (e.g. "every day"/"every week" blogs)

Thats what i am getting, two different "signals".

But, what i think the point trying to be made is:

Go ahead and blog for yourself. If you do any "what happend today" blogs, keep them on your own blog. Limit the "silly" blogs to a few on the main forum. Do not spam.

As for my spelling, grammar and other things... I don't pay attention to those. (Obviously :/ ) I will pay more attention to it.

Let's summarize, Lucas. This is what I see.

1. I don't see that some of your articles have a lot of thought. It's like "George Bush licked his ball sack! I wish I could lick my ball sack. Can any of you lick your ball sack?," and then that's the content of an article. No one really cares that George Bush can lick his ball sack, unless you make it interesting. Add a paragraph of well-thought-out opinion, or point out something paradoxical that people might not think of. Add something a little funny.

2. Lots of people write about their every day lives. And lots of those get read and commented on. But they don't write about each time they take a sip of water, or every thought that pops into their heads. They write about something that might be weighing heavy on their hearts that particular day, or they write something insightful or funny that their kids or dogs have done, or something that pisses them off at work. They don't just write a one-liner about it. They write a whole, interesting article. They add "describing words"--aka adjectives (ooooh!) to make their articles interesting.

3. It's your blog. You can do what you want with it as far as writing goes. I think the main issue is posting fifteen of those stupid one-liners about ball sacks in a row. Pick something that you think might strike readers as funny, or interesting, or insightful, or piss them off and make them think, and make them *want* to read it, not be *forced* to because that's all that's out there. If you have a lot going on in one day, write the articles, save them on your computer, and then post them later as time goes on.

4. If you're concerned about spelling and grammar, write your stuff in Word or whatever word processing program you might have and then run those checkers and then copy and paste it to JU.

You gotta pick and choose. Lots of people are giving you lots of advice. Pick and choose what works out of the positive stuff, and just let the shit lie and stink.
