Problems with IconX

Hi, whenever I try to start iconX, I just get the standard XP "This program has wencountered a problem and needs to close" window. Nothing else happens. Is this a known software problem? If so, is there a workaround?

Have you tried a re-install?

We see Sir Bichur is attempting to help. From our end, same problem. In fact, we removed totally all Stardock programs and re-installed...still IconX does not respond as it should.

Interesting...

The trial version works without any problem. The registered current version causes the OS to crash.

what version? free / paid? running anything else at the time?

Evening (morning?) Dog o Fire Son Jose & Ron. Is the trial version working better than the registered? Does it have the missing run at starup?

Good Day Sir Bichur! You need to work for Stardock because the last issue we had a month or so ago was never answered by Stardock Support. Secondly, you should be in charge of WinCustomize because I have not seen any employee from WinCustomize/Stardock who post on this site help anyone.

The paid version [http://dl.stardock.com/activate/dl.aspx?m=1&v=1&a1=86A236CC79BA6546BAF55E3A]causes the OS to crash; (windows explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close). Right after clicking on either the icon from the start menu, or from all programs, this happens + the screen is showing "something" large and distorted...not sure what it is...but it appears somewhat colorful.

The free version (http://www.download.com/IconX/3000-2195_4-10423636.html?tag=stardock) works like a charm; absolutely no problem.

Footnote: We have even closed everything down and attempted to run only IconX paid, but no dice.
