I could sure do for a Japanese steak!

Last night as I was driving home from work, I was thinking about dinner.  I thought about a restaurant that I used to visit in Japan named "Bronco Billy's".

Bronco Billy's is a chain of reasonably low-priced steak restaurants in Japan.  At Billy's, one can order a steak with potatoes and a salad bar.  (Just like a Sizzler, a Ponderosa, or a Bonanza in the USA.)  The biggest difference between the steak house there and here is that the quality of the meat and salad is a lot higher than what one can find in the US.  (You can actually order your steak rare without worry.)

I love the "freshly shredded" parmesan cheese that the waitress puts on your salad.  I am also a big fan of shredded daikon radish with sauce over the top of the steak.  Man, am I hungry for Bronco Billy's!

Ohh my god I love Bronco Billys!

I used to live in Nagoya and would frequent there about 2 a month or so.
My favorites were the "Hamburg steaks" with the arroshi (minced Dikon) on top.

I wish I could get the recipes for some of those

Actually the meat at Billy's comes from Australia.  That is one reason why the prices are resonably low there.

I can't recall whether I have ever had Kobe beef, but my wife and I have enjoyed Hida-gyu (from Gifu prefecture) which is raised like Kobe beef.  Good marbling, easy to eat.

Yummy stuff.
