I might start taking Tamure lessons

I hate going back to an empty house every evening. So i've been looking for activities around Port Vila that could be interesting and new to me. So Delizia said: Tamure (pronunciate: TA-MOO-RAY).

For those who may not know the Tamure is a polynesian dance, actually a Tahitian dance. It's a really sensual dance (almost erotic!), with a lot of hip movements that can be either fast or slow. The girls wear low cut skirts with sort of bikini tops and tiarés or shell necklaces, the outfit is very colourful and traditional. Anyway just something for me to look forward to at least once a week.

I’m a bit scared to go though. First the girls there all know how to dance really well. Second, I hate putting my body in display like that. So I’m still thinking about it. It’s a bit pricey too. So I’m still thinking about it.

Anyway, here are some tamure pictures that i've found on the net :)

I can picture you doing that, islandgurl! I bet you'd be fabulous at it (and a gorgeous sight while doing it). Sounds like a really fun way to put some pep into your life...and probably meet some really interesting new people, too.

What a great idea!

Really? Well i have difficulties picturing me in this kind of outfits! I really hate having people (especially guys) staring at my bear belly and whatever else they want to look at, ugghh!

Thank you, but at the same time i'm a bit anxious about it.

Yes that's what i think too I need to get myself out now that i'm single, right? lol That's what's making me want to join in.

I think i'd rather join a boxing club, but i'm not keen on black eyes lol! and they dont have one here anyway (for girls i mean)

while going thru you personal pain, getting out of your head is a real good thing, dance, flirt, laugh, cry, life is an experence to be cherished, even the yukkie stuff.
