Broken GalCiv CD

(i dont fell like typing out the hole thing once more, i just lost like a few paragraphs thanks to an error.)

So i wanted to play some GalCiv, found the CD, the cd case is in really bad shape.
I put the CD in to my CD drive and it spins up, then slows down, repeat.

So what can i do ?
Send the CD back?
Get the files off some FTP server? ( i do have my CD key )
Or am i screwed ?

download stardock central from here:

http://storage.stardock.com/files/stardockcentral130.exe

You'll be prompted for your registration info during the installation, or you can enter it under tools->register products once it's installed.

Once you've got SDC installed, you can install the latest version of Gal Civ.
