Phil... My French is really, really bad... Your English is pretty good. So I'll try and pass along a few things until the French speaking players arrive. :)

Have you read throgh the strategies fourm? Second, have a look at post #7 in this thread http://www.galciv.com/forum.asp?BID=GF&id=144097#144544

Third, from you description I think you are spending too much money at the start of the game. You must stop spending before you go to far into the red. You must also reduce the tax rate to keep morale up so that you can get tax money so you can build improvements to keep morale up so you can incearse taxes... and round and round we go.

Here's something for you to try...

At the start of the game...
48% to 50% taxes, spending at 100%
Once the planet rush is finished, start your tech research until you get to diplo trans and habitat, then start building soil enhancement, habitat, news network, etc. Then go back to tech reasearch.

Watch your morale closely. When you see it start to fall below 100% on your best planet, reduce taxes a little bit. You may also need to reduce your speding a little bit.

When you build improvements you can then increase your taxes until the planet morale starts to drop again.

Soil improvement / banking center / habitat improvement / entertainement network.

Si tu as d'autres questions ....

In the late game you will also want to have Stadium, Teleporters, Stock Market, Economic Exchange and Terraforming.

A pity you cant save buildorders or put thing in them you havent reasearched yet.

:D THINKS for all: english and french.
if i understand , i don't have to spend too quickly my money and look for my moral on the planets to receive money:good is the moral better is the money i receive from my people.all depense one time after other and prevent falling in "red". is that right?
the other question:does i have to spend many colon ships to colonize other planets quickly because they cost to buy? :notsure:
is it the first and second things to do or better improve my population of the planets i have? thinks to for the answers.

First thing is to grab all the good yellow and purple star planets. You can do that by setting your government spending to 100%, and setting your military spend slider to the top and setting the other 2 sliders (research and social) to 0. If you want to nudge up one of Research or Social, you can, but you want to be producing colony ships every 2 to 3 turns (exactly how fast will generally depend on your map settings. It's more important on smaller maps to produce very fast then on larger maps).

Sometimes, I will take a break for 2 turns and swap over my colony ship building to soil enhancement to bump up my primary world/earth and then swap back to making colony ships.

Does that help? You need to grab all the good planets you can in the beginning, because that's what the AI is doing, and it won't wait on you. Then you can concentrate on improving what you have.

You can find lots of help with strategy in the strategy forum. If you are looking for getting into the various details of how people do what the do. ;)

Try this...

On earth on the before you start you first turn; set spending to 100%, set Military to 100%, set taxes to 48-50%. Build colony ships on earth. This will give you 1 colony ship every 2-3 turns. Hunt for planets. After the first year or two, you can start spending on researh.

Do not buy colony ships if you can build them. Sometimes it is ok but do not buy all the time.

In the beginning only colonize yellow stars.

Hope this helps. If any of our French speaking players see this perhaps you could explain better. :)

Philippe,

Sorry for the confusion... You are correct. Do not buy colony ships. It costs too much money.
Yeah, do not buy them, build them from your starting planet. Buying them puts you in the red too early, esepcially when building them only takes a few turns.

"Build colony ships on earth.Do not buy colony ships if you can build them. Sometimes it is ok but do not buy all the time"
End of quote

The meaning is the following:
if you set your spend rate to 100% and your military spending to 100%, you will be able to produce colony ship every 3 month (the first will be in april). If you rush buy it, it will appears in february.
Does it worth the extra spending: no. There may be a few exceptions, but it would be very specific to layout of the galaxy.

Just wait, if you aren't buying it it will be built automatically when the time it lists under the ship or building ends.

Simply select (in planetary screen) the current ship in order that it appears in the bottom central screen with a purchase button. It is the same mechanism than for improvement.

Man I was thinking the very same thing when I first started playing this game! My build order for the key buildings is always the same (when available). That would be an awesome addition.

Phillippe,

It was a comment on the user interface.

It means...

It would be good to list all the buildings you want to build in the Mr.Kolaz queue even if you have not researched the technolgies to build them yet.

This comment is not important to win the game.
