Minor race? Look out! This time they were powerful!

I just finished a game, a close call it was. Had to start turning evil towards the end since Drengin was the last left. I was at war with them for a while and it was getting hard to keep up so I asked for peace and got it. Anyway, the minor race Carnoids had like an 875 military rating! They had colonized 3 or 4 systems and had everything. Put it this way, neither me nor any of the other majors wanted to attack the Carnoids. They were big time powerful for some reason this game.

The Drengins were too powerful to take over as well. I would have had to give Drengins like 20 techs and trade goods to attack the Carnoids. I was thinking of doing it so maybe the Drengins would get defeated and I would win. In the end, I ended up with alliance victory since I kept going evil, the Drengins started to like me more. Plus I was building and giving them some freighters.

At last, it was a win but I never done very well score wise. I did submit it to metaverse though. Fun one! :)

What did the Carinoids want to attack the Drengin? Sometimes they're willing, and usually the more powerful side needs less of a bribe...

I just had only one good game where the minors made a favor from me, and they were the fundamentalist, they came they wiped out the Drenging, the Torians and The Altarians and they were very friendly with me, I kept suplying them with techs and ships and they did all the conquer for me. Thanks Fundamentalists, you deserved. LOL

It would have been better to pay Carinoids to attack Drengins. I never tried that but I should have. I really like paying powerful civs to attack and putting my probes out around and watching the battles. This game plays out so different each time. How they say never the same galaxy twice, how about not even close to the same galaxy twice :)

You got that right, I have played 221 games and I have seen the Draginol only once!!!!

Perhaps the Draginol only appear when the human race in doing too well and they felt it was fair to put them in? From what I get from this forum they are practicly gods.

I was playing a test build for Cari to help her weed out the bugs in AP and I sent her a bug crash bit and she noticed 1 of the minors was using a diff freighter that she thought they were supposed to be using it turned out she forgot that the some of the art for the 2 new races were in and it was using that and I said "its not the minor thats being an expanding pain in my backside in my front yard that has your name in it? :) "
and she said let me check and she says well actually yes.....

Cari and it saved the model name 7Ship03 which is what the standard model naming convention is but as far as I know, we don't have a corresponding gfx

Cari so it shouldn't have been able to save that name because it should have used the default image, 35Ship03
