We need your help!

Stardock are looking to add new medals to the metaverse ranking!

How you can help

We need for you to come up with some new names and graphics for these medals. Please decide on the name for the medal  and a new graphic, and submit it to me along with a 20x20 gif image of the chosen medal. Please keep in mind that these medals will be for the entire metaverse.

Images of the medals and their names will be available for viewing at the following address http://files.galciv.org/medals.html

Once a reasonable amount of submissions have been made, then the team at Stardock will choose the ones to add to the metaverse.

Please spread the word about this to all the members of your empires.

I don't suppose that the former-place medals will be applied retroactively... Guess I just gotta touch the top 3 again so I can have a permanent proof of it (All I have from last time is a screenshot...) ;)

A question - what does "Average Difficulty Cake Walk" and the rest mean?

Second question - how is it calculated? Straightforward average or weighted?

I imagine it could, it would just take a lot of scripting and time to start from the beginning of the metaverse and fast forward through time, grabbing the players who were in the top 3 at any given point... like, say, June 25 of last year ;)

T-Man, though I hate to admit it, there's a typo in the description of the "Average Difficulty - Challenging" medal; it's "Challengin." Living south of the Mason-Dixon line, I have no objection, but you may wish to correct it nonetheless.

My question is, since Spellforce gets a Prime Minister medal, can I get an Ambassador medal? ;)

Frankly, don't think forum ranks and medals jive. Medals are more for Metaverse accomplishments. :)

One quick question for T-Man and Spellforce, when the medal for 100 games won is going to be activated? and will be a medal for 200 games won?

I see that the difficulty level medals have been activied and besides Spellforce's Prime Minister medal none of the others have been used thus far. When can we expect the new medals?

And how do I get my difficulty medal?

The medals for difficulty will appear when you next post a game to the metaverse. As far as i know they are the average game difficuly you have played since yur fist game submission.

This has been bothering me for a while, maybe this is the right place to mention it. The score selection for gigantic maps doesn't work. I guess by now I should be on the first page, somewhere behind Ginata, yet neither of us show up. It seems to be the only size selection which doesn't work properly.

Also, there is a typo on the Neutral morality score page, it says "netural".

I don't kwow about my own stats but Ray the Wanderer for example has almost played crippling and masochistic exclusively since way back when I was knee high to a grasshopper but has been given a Challenging shield . . .

Just though I'd mention it . . . :)

And the Gigantic/Huge stats bug has been around since I started and mentioned on several occasions . . . not a priority I guess for SD.

In the legend the bar for 5 games submitted is gold and should be blue. ;)

Just do a complete refresh there mayito, it was fixed when they put it up but it isn't updating on your cache :)

What happened with the medal for more than 100 victories is still active or not? Is there in the legend but I have not seen anyone with it. Or the one for 5 lost either? :notsure:
