Best Coffee Prices Ever!

So my girl and I went on a little small town road trip this past weekend. As we sat in a small diner waiting for our stuffed french toast to come I noticed a large laminated sign on the wall. I asked my girl for a pen and paper and wrote down the following coffee menu.

1 Cup .90 & Two Refills

1 Hour $1.20

Half Morning $1.50

All Morning $2.00

All Day $2.75

$3.50 Allowed 1 Hour To Go Home For Lunch

Spoon Knockers, Cup Wavers, Whistlers, Thumb Snappers, and Lid Snappers All Pay Double!

Ask About Weekly Rates.

So you could drink coffee all day there for $2.75? I think that's what a large coffee costs down the street from my apartment!
God bless the small town.

Why would you go home for lunch if you were in a diner?

My small coffee this morning cost me $3.50--I need to move to a small town!

When I was mulling opening up a coffeeshop in our college community, my plan was going to be to bring the students in for finals by offering an "all the caffeine you can drink" deal, along with the internet to boot. You'll definitely want to head back to THAT cafe.

I had a concept like that before, too.  Have wireless free (which is what attracts a lot of people) and then sell coffee by the carafe, not by the cup, to those who plan on staying awhile, or who want to share a carafe (kind of like how some places sell pitchers of soda or beer).

I don't like a lot of the "big" coffee houses.  I prefer regular coffee from Tim Hortons, or the privately owned coffee houses for the "fancy" coffee mixes.  Of course, I make most of my coffee at home (hard to find Jamaican Blue Mountain served anywhere).  If you price out really expensive coffee down to the cup, nothing compares to making it yourself.

My God, Moderateman and I have something in common...good thing I'm already sitting down!

There's a place not to far from my apt. that sells coffee by the French Press that they place on your table.

The coffee wasn't half as good as it was to be entertained by such an elaborate coffee pricing outline.
