Well, a card of course....maybe some flowers....a cake, perhaps? Or maybe some kind of little figurine things, candles, music boxes...all that mom/girly stuff....well, there's some ideas anyway. You know what your mom likes....so, get to it, Jeffers.

I have always thought thatt the best gift was a gift they would not get themselves due to price or practicality. A new comforter, a complete DVD set of an old favorite movie or program, new CD player, DVD player, a set of gift certificates to her favorite places (dunkin donuts, coffee houses, etc.) It is a nice feeling to know that you have the gift card in your pocket and can get your favorite drink w/o spending your own money.

You might consider writing a handwrittn note thanking her for the things she has done over the year for you(enumerate them in the note especially any touching anecdotes you have). In the future you should look into gift websites that allow you to buy and stackup gifts for delivery on scheduled dtes.
