My homage events for Star Control 2 and (Project) Nomad are up in the library.

Alien Encounter events.

Obviously, Moo1, Moo2, and Moo3 are in competition with Galciv..so no homage events are allowed there.

Any other cool alien civilizations anyone can think of that i might make an event out of ..from CLASSIC past space adventure/space strategy games?

Excellent Duglis! Very amusing- I'd almost forgotten about the Spathi and their B.U.T.T. torpedoes. :)

I loved that game and you know you stole my only good original idea. Good choice too bad I did not beat you to it. I loved that game Star Control 3 was not as good as 2 was IMO but all the same excellent event. :HOT:

ooops i'm sorry, Fox. Think up another!!!! :D

A new event is now in the library based sort of on the
Guild in Dune, but mostly totally original.

You do some good work I really enjoy them all. Of course I am not using them right now competing in the Metaverse. Btw, you may have saw it else where or maybe I asked before. If you want your own set of forums, file area, etc let CDG know we would be happy to set some up for you. Above all else keep the fresh ideas coming. I am also working on a full blown Mod. Some of your work will make it in there for sure. :HOT:

P.S. You interested in doing requests for event pictures or any graphics? :d

I'm with Def Zep...

Anything from the old Starflight (1 or 2) would be great. God, I loved those games. And the humor in them was great. I remember trading a lot of fuel/money to the Thyrrn(sp?) to get a very powerful artifact... a "Slice O' Matic" It was, Totally worthless... And something called a "Wee Green Blobby" on the ruins of Old Earth. I had no idea what it did, but I kept it just because of the name. :D

Anyway, sorry about that tangent. Any race from there would be great, possibly the Spemin(sp?) a precursor to the Spathi, in a way...

Thanks!

#11 Duglis,

Sorry, but my old copy of StarFlight won't run on my new WinXP box - it's on a precursor format 3.5" disk NFTS doesn't even recognize!

Oh well...maybe some other "enterprising" soul out there? (yuk yuk)

well i can take a picture of starflight 2 playing on my
amiga emulator in windows.

but you have to tell me where that races lives so i don't have to play the entire game. I can just get on
a ship and fly to their home and take a screenshot! :D

Desert Fox,
I have some events that have been rejected here and i would like a place to be able to post all of my events
someplace and i place new events i create can show up right away before they get approved here! :D

Def Zep..if you have a request for the type of event you want--a brief outline--i can flesh it out when i get the pcx file..otherwise i'll make up one myself.

Thanks, Dug! You beat me to it!

Sorry for the delayed response...I was trying to figure out (from my hastily scribbled notes still in the game box which, believe me, clearly explained everything you needed to know to play SF even 15 years later) (tm).

Unfortunately, like the dog in the BaconBits commercial (again, tm)...

My 3.5" disk drive can't read! ;)

OK they are all up there. I'm done with homage events.
Don't know if i have ANY events left in me. we'll see.

So the homage ones are to Starflight 2, (Project) Nomad, and Star Control 2.

my other ones are original or based on popular sci fi
like asimov's robots and foundation or the navigators
kind of from the Dune Guild. the Monolith from 2001.
Flash Gordon from Flash Gordon :D

etc
