Theoden, I have lots of respect for many members of the Fellowship and it's always been a friendly rivalry especially in recent weeks.

I certainly don't want that to stop.

It's time to put a line under this. Like the others, I enjoy a friendly rivalry with all the Empires, the Fellowship included, and that will not change. Players are entitled to play with whatever empire they wish, and the latest explosion had nothing to do with players changing empires. Flamage has now erupted twice after Mayito/Shalom posting here (once about Ginata joining us and once about an icon). I do not wish to go back over those circumstances, merely to make this observation: it's a big Universe, and one cannot expect to get along with everyone. I'm not going to duck that - it would be hypocritical and dishonest of me. Mature adults have a way of dealing with these situations - they decide not to persue a relationship with people they don't get on with.

To this end, I would respectfully request that Mayito/Shalom simply not post in this thread any more. That seems to me to be a simple and honest solution that will avoid further conflict. I submit this as a genuine, non-flame, no-blame resolution.

Sorry to interrupt the alcoholic discussion, but where is the thread relating to the need for a moderator? Some pretty significant issues were raised in that thread, by members of Special Forces among others, and it would at least be polite to know why it has been deleted?

Oh yeah, I like the new little shields. For anyone considering taking us on, you can see that I am only challenging...but Jaws is painful ;) LOL

Hey, I'm back online - though I was only able to post the last of three games. Hurley - I uninstalled GalCiv and Stardock Central and then reinstalled Stardock Central and downloaded GalCiv. It works so much better!

For the rest of you, by doing this I didn't bother with the multimedia - which I'm see before ;) - and the game runs significantly faster.

I'm tough... that's what I try to tell people anyway. I do think the averages are a bit off - but hey, the logos are pretty cool.

Hopefully, my submission problems are behind me.

For those of you lucky enough to reside in Australia, it was barely broken 0 degrees F here this week, when I see the Celsius temp is usually been in -22 to -30 range. I've very jealous...

Cheers,
Cypher

Woohoo! Welcome back Cypher. It is a balmy 44F here in sunny South Carolina but it is supposed to get cold tonight. My friends up north say it was -40 up there; now that is freaking cold!

If the thread requesting a moderator was ‘moderated’, then I guess that means the request was denied. But if it had to be ‘moderated’, then that means a moderator responded to the request. It’s a conundrum! :sniff!: :( :notsure: :) ;) LOL

I still wonder how the discussion was being interpreted. At a glance, it seemed as though everyone was ganging up on one person. With a careful read through, however, many of the responses were critical of both sides. All well. I guess we’ll never know how many licks it takes to get to the center. :notsure:

Spellforce -- Thanks for dispelling our conspiracy theory. It's probably for the best that it's gone.

We do feel we can moderate each other and will do are best to do so...

By the way, great job with the medals - they are REALLY cool even if there are a few glitches to work out.
