Well, it happened.  I did not like doing it, but I found the post to be highly offensive, as did others.  It is the first time I have deleted anyone's comments on any of my blogs.

I know the topics I post can get incendiary, and I love a good jousting match.  I dont even care if you come onto my blog and call me stupid, crazy, an idiot, Moron, Turd, Ferd Berfull, or George Carlin's 7 forbidden words.  Rage against my topic, rage against me. Love me, hate me, destest me, or whatever.  I have never deleted a comment even from the Maxwell clown.

But I will not tolerate racially, sexual, religious, or any other type of hateful slurs.  They are offensive to me, and to others in this community.  If it is a direct quote, link it.  You do not have to repeat it.

I dont think the poster really realized how offensive the term he used was. I think he was just caught up in the emotion of the blog.

No matter.  There will be no 'black listing' for it, unless it were to become a regular pattern.  Anyone can fall into the trap when discussion becomes heated.  Let's just not make a habit of it.

And please dont make me delete any more comments.  Euphamisms for the offensive words are acceptable as long as they are in context (i.e., no calling another individual that name).

Ok, thank you for listening.  Now back to the Flame wars.

It was a post with a racially offensive word in it.  It was not directed at anyone per se, just a rant, and perhaps a little lack of judgement on the poster's part.  I dont think the who is important.

I said it, and I said it as a joke about how the righties in this country are trying to pump the fear machine up to 100 decibel levels. And it showed no lack of judgement, because I'll stand by any and everything I say.

It doesn't bother me that you deleted the post, though, although this whining and weird blog about it is certainly amusing. I actually didn't even realize you had deleted the post until you wrote this. Checking....nope, still not bothered.

I think maybe you were hoping I'd unleash the dogs of war on you or something, but it would take a lot more than deleting one silly little joke post to do that. I've known for awhile that you have exactly zero sense of humor (except for Dan Rather jokes) -- so it's completely understandable that you missed the point.

And Manopeace, much as I generally enjoy your posts, you're far too sensitive for your own good. Get over yourself.

I think after reading this, I'm going to post a blog called "I corrected my spelling and grammar in a blog today" or something else as trite and silly as this. But since you were trying to play all PC and not say "that word" or my name, I just had to own up to the fact that you're talking about me.

Thanks for giving me a laugh today. And watch out for members of Southwest Asian ethnic groups who could possibly be members of freedom fighting organisations based on strict interpretations of Qu'ranic law. They might be behind you, and they might be carrying improvised explosive devices. There, that's my statement (as I interpret the GOP to be using scare tactics), ammended in the best politically correct-ese as my academic brain can muster.

you apoloized to me yesterday for posting what you did..I take this comment as a retraction to the apology. Sensitive as I may seem to you, I've seen that kind of name calling lead to street fights which led to lynchings. Rascism in any form must be elimininated if we are ever to achieve peace...and there is nothing there to joke about.

No Mano, it was not.  And I should have deleted it before you had a chance to say anything.  I appologize to you for that.

I did not mention his name to allow him to think an oops.  He choose to say a FU.  I will not delete that.  Like I said, George Carlin's 7 banned words are ok on my Blogs.  But the hate words are not.

Heather, you're the worst kind of follower, and you really should learn to walk on your own path instead of climbing onto these bandwagons. I don't have anything against, you, because we share some friends whom I consider to be really important to me -- so that's all I'll say.

But quit trying to pick fights, ok?

It's really no big deal at all that a post got deleted. I'm not the least bit worried about it. It's really all cool and fine and wonderful. You all really, really, need to lighten up once in awhile. This is rather amusing, and I feel rather like it's "Hmm, can we bait Mikey into some sort of flame war? It's been oh so long since we had one." So, this is my last word about it. And it isn't an angry word at all.

p.s. It wasn't funny to YOU...there were others who have said otherwise to me privately. It's all perception and yours is as valid as anyones. Or noone's. Or whatever.

Look, Myrr. I did not attack you or call you names. I simply pointed out a statement that could be a problem. You seem to think that you NEVER make any mistakes. You NEVER do anything wrong. I have NEVER seen you apologize to anyone for anything. Are you that perfect? I know that I am not perfect. I make mistakes. I say things that may offend someone, but at least I am willing to admit, apologize and make amends when I do. You have demonstrated you lack that same ability.

We do share friends. I do not talk about you to them or anyone else. There is no fight picking. If you will notice, since the last flame and your return, I have not stepped foot on your blog. I refuse to incite more problems. But I will respond to other people's blogs. I have every right to be here. I understand quite fully that you do not want my input on your blogs, and I have respected that.

As far as being a follower.....you know nothing about me! Remember that. You think I'm ignorant and stupid. I have a genius IQ (which you seem to think is so impt.) and I am college educated (which you also hold in high esteem). Every position and office I have held in my life whether corporate or in political and social society has been in a leadership role. Shove that "worst kind of follower" up your ass.

I have seen enough of him to know he is bipolar. My aunt is as well.  One day she loves Dubya, the next he is King george.


So is Myrr.  That is why I never respond to him.  You dont know if you are going to get jeckle or Hyde.


I was trying to be polite in not mentioning him, but if this is going to turn into another one of his Jeckle and Hyde routines, I will shut it off.


This is not a Piss ant blog.  I stated my rules (and so far they have only been violated once!).  I think they are liberal enough for all of us.  Rational people.

Heather, please do not.  I did not mean to offend you.  Just I see no reason in discussing him.  I wrote this so that (hopefully) I would not have to delete any more comments.  You were correct in your statement, I just did not want this to turn into a 'what is wrong with crunchy' blog.  If he is happy and his wife accepts his extreme mood swings, he is probably harmless.  My Aunt is (altho she is medicated now).


That I have insulted or hurt you or even given an inkling of a hint that I did not want your comments, I am very sorry, and I beg your forgiveness.
