For anyone trying to find the "right" gift for your single female friends, consider the the Boyfriend's Arm Pillow.




Kameo, based in the southern Japanese city of Fukuoka, says the pillow is not only an emotional comfort, but that its shape keeps the body balanced by supporting the sleeper from both sides.

Sleepers typically curl up in between the body of the pillow and the crooked arm, with the sleeper's head resting on the pillow's 'bicep'.




Does this creep anyone else out? I guess at least it won't snore or toss and turn. But it is headless, for goodness sake! (of course some women have real boyfriends that seem to be missing one too) Even creepier, apparently a muscular boyfriend and slender boyfriend pillows are in the works.

Take heart men, a girlfriend pillow is coming soon.

I'd be offended if I got the boyfriend pillow, yes. But I'd laugh if I got the girlfriend. Although I doubt I'd use it, they are creepy, if rather funny at the same time.

After having spent many more nights away from my wife's bed that in it, I wonder if they could make a "Military Protective (Gas)Mask", "Rolled Up Field Jacket" or even an "Online all night because I can't sleep" pillow, to make me feel more "at home" as I sleep.

Getting any of the pillows suggested in your article for my wife would just confuse her either way. ;~D

I was assuming that the question was about why men would prefer a real lap to a real arm.


I do not understand the pillow part. If it were me, I would choose another part of the female anatomy.

The most interesting thing I just noticed about this article (okay not the most but you get what I mean right?) -- the newspaper this article is linked to is my hometown paper - so to speak It's kinda creepy but I guess it doesn't snore or shudder. The female pillow looks kinda trampy thoough

I can barely sleep in the same bed as my husband, let alone sleep with his arm around me. Perhaps I should be sure this is not what he thinks I want for Christmas...? Though I suspect he might not mind the girly lap pillow. Hmmmm.

My husband and I have a huge kingsized bed for just that same reason, Angloesque. Better let him know subtly to scratch the pillow from the shopping list.
