Attention all:

The site ( http://jedi.galciv.org/e107 ) Is almost finished! I just need a couple more days to do the honorary members and fleet pages (although those really arent necessary to the function of the site, I'd like to have everything complete first). Also I'll need to set up the forums if we are going to use them, so everybody comment on whether or not you think forums are necessary or if we should just use this thread.

LOL, well, one nights sleep and a day's schooling and up starts and ends yet another Metaverse Melodrama! I feel as though we are all actors in a huge soap-opera! But now back to buisness...

NOT to pick this scab, but I must admit I am partly responsible for the backlash against Amidala. As I believe the post states, I created my most recent previous post (the one just before the.. should I say, explosion) in the evening and was wrapping up my daily checkup. I made one quick survey of the Imperial rosters before posting it. I appologize to Mayito as I probably led him astray. As well as Amidala, as I was careless not to investigate further before making my remarks.

As for Obi-Wan, I think I speak for all our Third Generation Jedi when I say that he was and still is one of our highest respected members. He remains in contact with me personally, and I hold his opinion in high regard. Mayito, this has nothing to do with you being wrong, as I was myself quick to judge, but just an effort to show respect to one of our founding, and highyl contributing former Jedi. But enough of this!

ELECTIONS!!

As Admiral Sherbert has stated, the results will be posted, and the winners swarn into office on November 15th. PLEASE REMEMBER, that as of now (7 PM CST) the Polls are STILL OPEN. OK. Can I just check something concerning the Jedi political system, because I'm sure I must be wrong.
My understanding is that there are 5 vacancies and 3 nominees, and the vote is to see whether the 3 nominees can fill the 5 vacancies. I imagine the Jedis are quite tense as election day approaches.

G A Sherbert it has taken a while but i have finaly caught up with your fleet captain status.

I popped by the Jedi Acadeny earlier, and noticed it had closed its doors. there was a note on the outside which read...."too many evil ones are here now. we have had to close before the sith overun us all." the work i believe of Darth Kryo!

Although i am no longer a member, i can say it is entertaining reading your thread. there seems to be more fighting in here than in the rest of the metaverse!!

No need for all the details. It was just a minor typo in the link code that put a little bit of extra stuff on the end of the URL, thus making it not work. It's now fixed.

The Jedi site is now basically finished. I just got the fleet and honorary members pages done, so all that is left to do is the forums. Everybody comment on whether you would use forums if we had our own so I know if it is worth my time setting them up. If not then I'll just reroute the link to this thread.

As a special bonus, check out http://jedi.galciv.org/e107/images/roster-frogboy2.jpg and decide whether that pic should be used instead of the one that is on the honorary members page now

Haha, yes, that is quite a problem. I would support a constitutional amendment making the requirements for council membership a little more stringent personally. But you work with what you've got.

I think the forums on the website are a good idea, I would post there if you set them up.

Kryo I like that pic that you posted, looks great, man real good job you are doing here. You got some brilliant ideas. So my kuddos to you. And also an extra set of lightsabers with black ribbons. LOL

I am for the forum, could be nice to have a place where to discuss strategy.

Looks like Amidala finally made her mind and created a new empire, maybe we all now can just go on with our own lives. So lets play and lets put the past behind us.

As do I. I hope that he finds his way back to us one day. (:(

I have finals coming up soon... not to mention I need to read a 300 page novel and then write a 5 page paper on it by Nov 28th so... I do not have to play GalCiv right now. I do have a month break coming up in December so I'm sure I'll get some games in then.

We could have a forum just to discuss strategies and to post mods and other things that cannot be posted here.

The mods post is already there. Anyone I add to the members group can upload files, which I can then approve or disapprove for addition to the downloads section.

Just because you can doesn't mean you should.....

I'm just asking you guys based on my experience with the MWC forums, that is, it goes for very long periods of time with little or no activity, with a burst every now and then. While it would be nice to have our own forums, I don't suppose it is really that neccessary (plus if we concentrate our conversations here we may surpass teh fabled threadzilla in post count LOL ).

Based on the feedback so far, if I put any forums in it will most likely be just for off-topic things, and we'll keep all of the GalCiv discussion in here.
