Matt, I've added you to the JR website - for as long as you choose to stay. Until everybody finds a chair they like, the website is now "frozen" - too many updates. Besides, this seems like a good time for a vacation, after reaching #1. However briefly. Take care, all.

I just took few hours off and The Force grabbed control of the Galaxy, I have to returned to bring back the balance to The Force, (just in cas I printed out a copy of the list board where we are in 1st Place, just like a souvenir LOL ) Now it is time to reinstall the order in The Force, I knew that using the Psychiotrinic weapon would have this results, oooopppss, sorry Obi Wan, I should have listened to your advices, the fluctuations in The Force are very strong at this moment, we must avoid the Dark side taking over the will of the weak Jedies.

I used to have all this space in the ethereal lands to my self. Now it's all crowded with ascendants. I may have to start throwing some metaphysical eggs around...

people its been fun whil it lasted, but i feel compelled to go and start my own empire. one based on palying the game and having a bit of fun. not about swapping sides faster than the wind changes. good luck in your endevours.

thanks mayito. have been thiking about this for a while. spoke to obi wan earlier and after that decided id had enough. will keep my eyes open on this empire to see if things stabilise. if they do i will return. but for now i will take up this disguise of Richard Rahl and dissapear into the Blood of the fold. keeping the empire as invite only so as to stop *hoppers*. thanks again and email me anytime at [email protected]

have tested on three games and does not seem to be any diverse effects on gameplay later in game.:)

(moments later the lights flickered on the Bridge and a seiries of bright green rays appeared outside and converged into one beam. The ball of energy grew for a millisecond before forming a straight line of light that traveled within seconds the distance to the Canadian planet. The malignant light struck the atmosphere first, creating an intense strobe of gasic explosion. Moments later, the feeding beams shut off and as fast as electricity could reach the circuit the blast shields activated and the Terror Star Mk XV was encased in a protective field of energy. All in the blink of an eye, the striken planet's core reached escape velocity and the Canadian world imploded.

The lights came back on in the Bridge.

I think the musical empires bit is starting to wear a bit thin. Witness Wombat's comments in the POSSE thread and Kyp's - er, Richard Rahl's - above.

Everyone who chooses to join the Jedi is, of course, welcome. That's what an Open Empire is about. But this wasn't the type of "15 minutes of fame" that I think most of us were shooting for.

When I joined this empire, I believe I was member #12. That's 4 months and 35 recruits ago. Back when it was simply "The Republic" with a Star Wars flavor. A lot has changed since then. One thing that had not changed was the sense of cameraderie; what I believe was the closest-knit bunch of players in the Metaverse - with apologies to the POSSE. We lost ONE player in FOUR MONTHS - "The Tauren 13," who landed over at Imperia Galactica. While gaining over 30. That's a record I'll put up against any empire in the Metaverse.

Now, things are obviously changing.

While everyone is free to make their own decisions, I really don't want to deal with checking the Empire rankings every hour, on the hour, to see whether we're in first or have shot down to 8th because of a few people having fun with the Imperial rankings page. I'm not pointing fingers at anyone in particular here. For all of the new Jedi, even if you only planned to stay for a bit, I'd like to think that the atmosphere around here might lure you into staying on permanently.

But I don't have the heart to wait around while you decide the future of something I've invested in for this long, and put this much care into. I'm getting out before the whole thing comes crashing down.

Yoda, I'll honor my commitment and do basic maintenance on the website until somebody comes up with something more permanent. Alternatively, I can give someone the access codes to edit the existing site, assuming they have FrontPage.

Without getting into a Henry V "We Happy Few" speech here, thanks for the memories and for letting me fight next to you for the last few months. Qui-Gon, I was really looking forward to you hitting your stride again and giving Ray a run for his money. KEmperor, you made being a Sith respectable (if that's not an insult!) StBlasius, it's a shame we never got around to those new ship designs. And Yoda, you founded and led a damn fine empire that it was an honor to participate in. But it's time for me to leave.

If I'm still welcome after all this, I'll most likely stop by from time to time and say hello.
