Windows Blinds icon background

Hi all, what I've to change in Windows Blinds in order to modify the white background color under the text of the icons on my desktop? thanx

Someone correct me if I'm wrong....WB doesn't affect how your Icons and icon text display on your desktop, the version of Windows you are using does. WinXP uses a transparent background for the icon text so that you can see the desktop behind it. Win9X doesn't, but there are proggies out there that can fix that, I just don't know what they are other than Microangelo.

ok, never mind the trasparent background

I'd just like to know how to change mine from white to something better..

when windows load the bg of the icon is set on a kind of blue than it changes..

you want wallpaper........look to your left of this window...see wallpapers....1000's to choose from..... You will need a file unzipping program...like winzip...you can then move it to my pictures folder...even make a sub folder called *WAllpaper*...to set new wallpaper.....right click on you desktop... properties....then desktop...then browse.......go to the folder you have moved your wallpaper....then click apply....you're done...enjoy your new desktop wallpaper

Not sure why your icon text backgrounds have color to them...I have XP and mine are transparent...the only time they would have color is if I locked the icons in place...hmmmm

Maybe this is what you need.... (I could be wrong, but I'll do it anyway

)

Right click anywhere on your desktop, and use "Properties"

... in the dialogue box that opens, click on the tab that say's "Appearance"

about two-thirds of the way down that dialog box is an option called "color scheme", and right next to that there is a little (rectangular) box shaped thing, ~which is the option you need to click to change your icon background. Select the color you want, and hit "Apply"

Job done...

I thought the color came from the desktop background color.
