trouble with the boot-skins

when i have downloaded the bootskin program and used a few skins from the site i tried using one of them and when i restarted my cpu to see if it worked it would show the new skin then the cpu would just restart... i had to go into safe mode to turn it off... any ideas on how i could get them to work with no problems???

i have downloaded the 1.05a but im still having the trouble with it restarting all the time and having to go into safe mode... if there is any way round this would someone please let me know
