Can't change Desktop Icons

First, sorry for any mistakes in this post, i can't speak/write English very well

That is maybe a dumb question but the search didn't get any useful results for this problem.

When I try to change the Desktop Icons (My Computer, My Files, Network and Internet Explorer) with Iconpackager 2.0, it's ok and good, until i make a restart. Then the desktop icons are again resetted and the default icons show up again. Even the "Rebuild Icon Cache" Button doesn't do anything.
So even when I reinstalled Win XP (not because of this problem ) the same problem was and is still their.

Any ideas to get rid of this annoying issue?

What version of IconPackager are you using and have you tried reinstalling it?

do you have icon develepor?

next: go into iconpackager click on settings scroll to the bottom. Under the catagory display make sure all are checked

Reinstalling doesn't help.

There isn't a display category, just General, Advanced and Others

Are you using the Shareware version?
