I cannot start the game

Hello all,

I cannot start my recently acquired copy of GalCiv4 due to the following issue. Can anyone help me? My GalCiv 3 copy shows the same error

my first guess is anti-virus is now blocking aafter the upgrade to 0.9 the picture says it is stopped loading part way through like it and not read a blocked file. if anti does nothing then verify. if that des not work then uninstall and reinstall the game.

it might not be able to create the folder because it doesn't have proper permissions. right clicking the .exe file and having it run as admin might help

or right click -> properties -> security tab -> edit -> click allow for permissions

That fixed the issue! It was the ransomware folder control that I needed to turn off
