Game does not start

I get a message: "Application load error 3:0000065432" when trying to start GalCivIII. I bought a new computer around X-mas, but I had the same problem with my old computer too.

I have bought all DLC's and the game is updated.

The game etc. has been purchased from Steam.

I am getting a bit frustrated with this issue. I just found out that another game (Astra Exodus by Slitherine) has the exact same problem. What is this all about and how I can get back to GalCivIII?

If you are experiencing this problem with other games it's likely an issue with your specific machine.

Have you gone through the support FAQ?

No help there. About a year ago I asked the same question in a Steam forum, but it didn't provide any answers to the problem.

Here are some suggestions for dealing with that error. I recommend trying methods 1, 3, 4, and 5, before trying method 2.
