I've taken the right side bar off on the message boards so that there is more room to view messages and such. What do you think?

I liked it the way it was.
I like it the way it is.
I liked it on a boat.
I liked it with a goat.
I do like it here and there.
I do like it everywhere.
I do like the wider span.
I do like it Brad I am.

Return it to old way: 10 + 3 'Admin' votes = 13
Keep it the new way: 8 + 2 'Admin' Votes = 10

It's not squashed anymore, but too wide.

| I like it the other way because I usually check out the top stuff while I'm reading the messageboards. |
I feel the same way. Can you add them back at the bottom under the poll, or over it?

Just for reference. Grab the right edge of the window and pull it in to make the window narrower (resize) and the words wrap.
Doesn't help the missing sections though.

I'd have to say that it looks too wide. I thought my computer forgot to download a third of the page

....it might be if they put the tops lists, the updated ones, the new ones back only on the left....

ummm I like snowman's idea... both of them.
for me it looks better this way. my home page is the greeting page and I surf fro there
also I surf mostly from th left side by catagories.
Now, all they have to do is put a link for the newsboard with all the other links with the message board next to each other on top (help/skin/general/news) and I'll be happy

Would it be possible to have the old way when you see the thread list, and the new way once a thread is open?

I like the idea of having it as an option in the user preferences. For
bandwidth sake, It should default to off. It appears that it doesn't
matter one way or another to most people, since there weren't that many
individuals that voiced an opinion here (out of the millions that visit).
I like it better the other way for the same reason that Jafo does- it makes it
easier to keep an eye on stuff

I like having the site fit in a smaller window, WC determines how big my browser window is because it's the widest site I vist. But it only works while I'm on the message board so it doesn't really change anything, I have to make it wider when I go to any other page and with the site set for its normal width the message board posts are too wide.
I vote for putting the stuff on the right back.
