Game Stalled At Wait

Hi SD,

This is a first for me. The game stalled at Wait. I was still able to move the map and use the menus. Of course, the Save option was not forthcoming so I wasn't able to save its current state.

I did upload my latest save file to OneDrive at https://onedrive.live.com/?id=3349147ABC3EE2B1%2183252&cid=3349147ABC3EE2B1

I just realized there is an auto-save that is a few minutes more recent (about 15 minutes) than the above. If you need it, I can upload that one, too.

I uploaded it to a Public folder at OneDrive. I've never done this before so I don't know what I'm doing.

I managed to reach turn 125 without any problems. When did it get stuck for you?

On turn 70. Since then, I ran the file validation option at Steam and it has been working fine ever since.

There is nothing wrong with my system that I am aware of, however, if I check the file validation, it many times seems to say that the validation has failed. This is not unique to GC3, either. It happens with most of the games I play from Steam.

I don't know what make of that.

There are usually 3-4 files that will fail to validate, every time, even after a clean reinstall.  These don't seem to cause any problems, I believe they are config files for the client system that never exactly match what is on Steam.  

I've seen this described on the forums before, but don't recall exactly what those files are.  Others may have better knowledge of this.  Regardless, these files not validating don't harm performance of the game.
