Help! I'm begging even!

Okay so I asked this earlier with no resolution, can someone please help? I am lowly WindowBlinds 4 SHAREWARE user who gets errors with WBLOAD.EXE and cannot load any new themes. I have tried reinstalling several times, cleaned the registry, turned virus protection off etc. etc. but to no avail! Can anyone help me lol??

Thanks in advance.

I've had the same problem.............it would start up as normal and then give me an error saying that the wbload.dll or something along those lines was not executing properly. It was on an NT machine though, not sure if that is what screwed it up.

I highly recommend purchasing the full version since it hasn't had that problem and you get even more cool options

Try uninstalling and delete the Windowblinds folder then re-install I get that problem too on occasion

sometimes it desn't work for me but then I say "computer, you work NOW or I will turn you off and never turn you on again"

P.S. I'm not a frootloop

Take knatzz good idea a step farther-before you reinstall go to your windows folder and then the folder call "prefetch". Open it,select all and delete everything(not the folder itself-just everything in it). Reboot and then reinstall wb"s. This might help.

Well, I guess the first thing to find out, as yrag said is What OS do you have?  WB4 doesn't support Windows 98-ME-NT yet. Just Windows 2000 and XP for now.

There is an important step that needs be happen in the uninstall/reinstall that
most people don't do- reboot after uninstalling.  WindowBlinds by nature
has to lock files.  The uninstall will complete, but the locked files will
not be gone until after the reboot.  If your initial install is corrupt,
uninstalling then reinstalling without a reboot will most likely not resolve the
issue.

Oh, and WindowBlinds doesn't support NT (We don't officially support NT with any of our products)

Hey all, thanks for all the fgreat advice. Uninstalling, rebooting, installing and then rebooting solved the issue. I do this stuff all day on the phone for a living, ya think I'd learn by now lol. Now if I can just figure out why when I do Open instead of save, my Winzip shows no files, I would be a much happier person lol.

Thanks again!
