Wincustomize skin browser and Stardock Central advice

I rarely have problems, but I am perplexed by this one. Is the skinbrowser down? I cannot download anything. Can't acess messageboard, chat, not even the website. Also does any one have a problem with stardock central closing out when you click the messageboard tab? Everything else works fine. I have uninstalled both twice and reinstalled. Cleaned registry, shut down, restart, the whole nine yards. All my login information is right also. For now I am stuck with standard internet browser. Any ideas? Thanks in advance guys/gals.

i dont know much about windows update stuff but the Q811493 and Q815021 and Q815485 did a number on my system and once removed everything was back in order again. Maybe this may help out some.

Have you checked the stardock skinbrowser newsgroup? I think I saw someone reporting a similar problem but I can't remember if it was here or there and don't remember if there was a resolution. Sorry, that's all I can add.

I suddenly began getting "Cannot find server" with both SDC and Skinbrowser. This started about 4 days ago, and I know I haven't changed anything on my end. It has gotten so bad, I started using Crazy Browser, but it too is getting the same results.
I can usualy get the first Wincust page to load, but if and when I click on any link, all I get is "Cannot find server".
This can drive a person nuts, because you can't get any answers from anyone.
So once again...What's the deal here?

White Moth, have you tried deleting all Wincustomize cookies? I think there are two or three of them. That sometimes helps with connection issues especially if it's not just the skinbrowser but also the regular browser. Worth a try.

I have been having the Can't Find Server problem since the big server crash that Stardock had a couple of weeks ago, but I have found a sort of work around. After you get the "Can't Find Server" message close SDC, and then wait a couple of seconds and reopen it, I usually don't have a problem the second time but occasionaly it will crash to the desktop but then I just open it again and every thing is right with the world. I think that they might be still working all the bugs out after the crash.
/me is sure that T-Man will get it all sorted out in the end.

I also get that irritating "Server Busy" pop-up, which asks you to do something, but won't let you. Once it does go away, I will then get another pop up asking me if I want to "continue running scripts on the page". Having checked that jewel out, I find it is a result of an outdated browser and browser code, but my SB is updated to the latest, as is SDC.
I have learned over the past months not to blame my computer for these things, but when everyone you ask says "I'm not having any trouble", you kind of wonder what to do but go elsewhere for awhile.
As far as deleting all cookies, I have done this so many times now, cookies fear to come close to my machine, yet the problems persist.

can't find the thread on it (hate when that happens). As I remember it the server pop-up said 'server busy switch to' and when you clicked yes either nothing happened or all kinds of strange things went off ! I think it was related to pop-up proggies running and that the script problem was related to anti-virus proggie set-up. Wish I could help more but that's as good as my memory gets
