I'm fully researched into kinetic with kinetic supports in my fleet and yet my drones use missiles....
Depends on the Drones. Assault = Missiles, Guardian = Kinetics and Interceptors = Beams, has nothing to do with what you specialize in.
Lol I always thought that their weapon/armor setup depends on your tech, trying to achieve best setup with the tech available. Silly me
