Crusade - Make peace with minor race?

so I accidently sent a transport instead of a trade vessel to a minor race's planet and without realizing what I was doing, I declared war on a defended planet.  but In Crusade, there's no diplomacy with minor races, so is there any way I can make peace with them other than loading an old save?

I don't think so.  Minors are in the process of being removed entirely.  What you're experiencing is from their half-removed-ness...

You could research the benevolent ideology that ends wars (IIRC one exists) or hope for a UP 'end all wars' resolution..

No, don't remove minor (independent) single planet civilizations!  This tradition goes back decades.  It would make the game less complex and less awesome!

I just played a 2 player tiny map with six systems.  Two were player systems, two were colonizable, and two required invasion fleet of transports.  This was a perfect game.  Lots of choices and rewards for making good choices.

I really think they can do a lot more with the minor races.   There should be diplomatic and ideological impact for what actions you take with the minor civs..
