Scoring system?

Hi,

I presume that nobody plays this splendid game to get high scores but I was a bit miffed today and wonder what other people - and Stardock - have to say.

In Crusades 2.2 at Genius I was playing on a huge map with just ten random opponents (which I guess may impact the final score?) On move 243, after eliminating   eight of them, I, perhaps somewhat lazily, leave the last two alive and build the Ascension Gate.

At this stage I have 115 planets with a population of 2279 and have researched  169 techs. My final score was 29.

Any thoughts and has anybody got a much larger final score and if so how?

Cheers,

Jon

Scoring system has always been screwed up (imho) Not that it should take much work but i would rather they concentrate on bugs

I've never understood the scoring system either.  We had a very good understanding of the scoring in GC2, but very little in GC3.  I think my high score was 39, but the metaverse has aged off my higher scoring games in favor of keeping track of all the games I never finished while I was beta testing or working on mods.

Really ive gotten 179 at turn 128 or something like that before. Since some people get like 1000000 on some video games it is more important what your opponents have. Ie even at 179 some opponents are usually beating me.
